Go when the café is closed, and it is very peaceful and quiet, although it costs £1 to go through the turnstile. Not many people seem to know about this site, but an excellent time can be had either in the open grassed area at the top of the hill (this is where the wife and I were), or at the bottom beside the waterfall, although you may be disturbed by unknowing walkers!

A busy little lake during the day but quiet and secluded after dark The west end car park is a terrific location for those that want to walk the dog Over the bridge in Llanrwst - up into the forest (signposted Nant Uchaf) and left about 1/4 mile after the outdoor education centre - follow the narrow road about 3/4 mile and the car park is right there on yr left
between llandod and newtown
the only layby on the main road with public toilets apparently lots of male male action to be had
