Farage was on TV last night being interviewed/getting pissed with Steph and Dom Parker (from Gogglebox). I've got to admit that I'm not full of praise for Farage, but it was entertaining TV and I thought he was very relaxed and open. I wouldn't imagine that DC or Silliband would have came across as well as he did.

I agree. I was impressed by how well he conducted himself under pressure from Mr and Mrs Dreadful-Parker getting pissed out of their boxes and swearing like troopers.
IIRC, Mr Farage only let slip a sotto voce 'shit!' when he unexpectedly stumbled on the top step, breaking the wine glass he was nursing, the contents of which then spilled out soiling his trousers.
I doubt I would have said less myself wink
Also particularly enlightening was his comment about the lack of certainty the UK could/would ever leave Europe.

Get out the Range Rover - don the Barbour jacket - head off with your picnic basket. Rugby world Cup tickets - the game for the 'people' - I think not ! !

I see where you are coming from James and it is sooo sad to see another of Britain's finest sports being tainted by the big money stakes.
What is so good to see though is so many young faces on the terraces - particularly female ones - enjoying the sport.

Say what you like about Mids, he certainly made this forum more lively.

here here....I didn't always agree with him....but did feel some people enjoyed trying to rip apart his posts.
Jed..if you reading this..come back mate....we miss ya !!
i also liked mids and his postings however he took far to much to heart when really he should have just shrugged his shoulders and carried on.
always a problem with Internet debate you don't always know in which context something was written and if someone corrects you then accept it and move on dunno
just as a footnote i learnt a lot about debate in here from nil and staggers(albeit a little to late ) and would have to admit they was right about things far more often than i was wink
So right rob
Haven't seen staggers about for ages... last I heard he was unwell

Can I put 12 months subscription to SH in ex members Jed and Sasha's stocking?

I'd just give Shasha one :rascal:

My kids birthdays are in November so Christmas is a financial nightmare for us lol
However, I find they don't really want much, they have their stockings, we have a real treee, the fire is always lit and we have a good dinner - no turkey - roast beef and yorkies :bounce:
Its about being together as a family, not about spending lots of money - I can never understand how people get themselves into debt for just one day of over-indulgence dunno
We have next doors xmas lights to look at, each other and lots of love in our home - thats all we need

And so you should nellie.
It just doesn't need to be punctuated with humongous expenditure on presents which people can ill-afford for no reason other than the advertising magnates suggest otherwise - that your Christmas will somehow be incomplete without spending a King's ransom on it.
Quote by Lizaleanrob
Can't Wait for Xmas this year,,,, kids off our hands and doing their own things. So a cheeky Xmas dinner at a good local restaurant and back home to pack our cases for a few weeks in Bali starting boxing day morning lol

Cheeky presumably because you part own it and won't have to pay the bill wink
Know just how you feel Trev. It's an outrage!
More than that, it's obscene poke
I really feel for all those parents on or near the breadline facing the prospect of yet another year spending way over what they can afford just to 'keep up appearances' and provide a Christmas to 'remember' loon
Well, they will certainly be remembering it well into next year as they try to pay off massive debts incurred buying tat which will be discarded before boxing day is done :sticky:
We have spent the last 7 Christmases in rural France. What a transformation. Peaceful, no pressure and no need to stockpile enough food to see two weeks out. Almost empty supermarkets on Christmas eve and a need to buy only immediate requirements as the shops will be open the very next day (no boxing day here!)
Less waste and no less of a good time will be had by all drinkies

So many choices on who not to vote for....Eeeny meeny ..
But anyway, Nigel Farage has a nice tie so he has my vote.

If we judge suitability to lead on the standard of a man's tie then I should go into politics! I have some lovely ties. Can't help thinking it is a bit sexist though as most ladies don't feel comfortable in a tie. Although using the same theory,I always thought Condalisa Rice must have been a good politician as she always looked like she smelt lovely. Sadly Mr Farage does not look very fragrant and 2 hours after that photo was taken it was covered in beer and gravy stains lol

Now, That's the way to wear a tie... :rascal:
Good to see it's a French company who have won the contract to collect the money....rotflmao
For the Rugby fans...
The cuckoo is a funny bird it sits in the grass
with its wings neatly folded and its beak up it's arse
and in that position, it can only say twit
'cos it's hard to say 'cuckoo' with a beakful of shit
boom boom
Why not just apply Chinese style justice and save a fortune.
Shoot the little scroats in the back of the head in front of their families.
Crime wave over.
I don't subscribe to twitter so have never twatted (if that's the correct past particle of the verb to twit).
However, I saw the street 'interview' by the Sky reporter on TV and my first impression of the dear lady was that very little arrogance or misdemeanour was apparent. I was saddened and surprised to learn of her demise and from what I have read of her, whilst she had strong views about the McCanns, she had not been party to some of the vitriol (justified or not) levelled elsewhere.
I wasn't alerted to any health issues until I read them in this thread but she appeared to me to be coherent and balanced when unexpectedly confronted in front of her house - rather unlike the pictures the popular press have since released of her which are a dreadful attempt at demonising her.
Interesting that the Coroner is struggling to publish a cause of death...
Let's not forget, if the McCann's had done the proper thing in the first place and properly arranged supervision of their children whilst going out on a 'bender' with their friends then none of this would have happened.
I subscribe to the view that Mr McCann is an arrogant b*stard and messianic in his view that he can do no bad - particularly as he is a doctor, a godlike twat of the first degree.
My conspiracy theory tendancy on here is (or should be by now) legendary.
Remember Soham? The school caretaker who thrust himself into the limelight to attempt to deflect the possibility of being identified as the culprit? The MP's and other of the arrogant political class who have been imprisoned for lying through their teeth and taking newspapers and others to court for making apparent falsehoods which turned out eventually to be true.... These all remind me of McCann. A desparate man intent of 'proving' his innocence when we all know he is as guilty as hell.
I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. A truly despicable excuse for a human being.
Interesting account guls.
Even more interesting is the faux debate in the HoC last week, MP's recalled (so that they can enjoy a lavish tax payer subsidised lunch) at the same time as Cameroon announces that he is quite prepared to hide behind so called ' Royal Prerogative' to bomb the shit out of Syria if he choses to do so without further debate. I think at this point, most Honourable and Right Honourable Members were best part of the way down a jolly nice claret and certainly not in the chamber to mumble their usual platitudes.
Just how much did that little exercise cost, one wonders, in the name of democracy at a time when further austerity measures are being heaped on the tax paying class?
I said it before and at the risk of repeating myself too often, I'll say it again.
The west has no place in the affairs of the middle east. As the General Election draws closer, Cameroon will want to give impressions of being le grande empereur l'Europe - but is just full of shit and snot - in the hope that the great British public will be fooled into letting him have another term (helpfully without the liberal wank*rs holding him back from making a right t*t of himself).
Sadly, I fear the alternative far more... a labour government led by red Ed and his equally nasty and incompetant mates...
Anyone for tennis?

lol....I am on both actually.....Iphone for work...Samsung 4 for personal use.
As said I much prefer my Samsung....it has fingerprint recognition as opposed to retina...but to be honest never use it....camera is far better with Samsung and loads more apps to edit the pics and video with. Try one....you will surprise yourself and realise all this time you been paying the extra £100 for a name !! lol

Errrr... 'scuse me for being a bit fick... but isn't the retina bit something to do wiv screen quality
Ahhhh, the Motorola 'brick' brings back such happy memories of being right at the forefront of mobile phone technology...

Never ever have I seen a podium where one of the drivers has been boo'ed.
This very public showing of disgust at Rosberg's disgraceful performance at today's GP at Belgium must be a first. I'd just love to be a fly on the wall in the Mercedes meeting room when Rosberg has to explain himself in front of Mercedes mandarin Niki Lauda and his team mate Lewis who he royally fucked on the first lap at Spa.
Lewis' 'coded' interview after the race shows just how mature he now is but i would not put it past him to take every opportunity to get his own back on Rosberg in the closing second part of the season - and who would blame him. Losing 30 points to his 'team mate' must be really hard. The team managers must now be thinking very hard how not to allow this develop. A wrong decision will put their Constuctors' championship at risk and the 'bigger' picture will come to the fore, but is Rosberg's seat at Mercedes assured now beyond his current contract?

This could be what we hear a lot very soon.
The Independence vote is almost upon us.

Why is there not a vote to see if the rest of the nation want them?
Or a vote for the English to go it alone?
Mr (call me David) Cameroon is already on the case woo. 2017 IIRC. I wonder if Mr Salmond will have a veto by then to prevent it

The British Isles is a collection of Islands. Hence British Isles. Of these one of them is a lot larger than the others. Hence where most people are is called "Great" Britain. It's like "Manchester" and "Greater Manchester". It doesn't mean those in "Greater Manchester" are better.
Great Britain is just the name for the largest Island in the series. It has nothing to do with our standing. The word "Britain" came from the romans and was revived by the Victorians.
