What a shame, what a waste and what a loss.
I feel I’ve known him for years, which I suppose I have, but in reality most of it was online. It’s mainly from my dealings with him a forumite that I got to know him. We did share the odd pint, I don’t mean the tight get bought me one, oh no, he would share mine. I speak of what I got to know online.
He was a fantastic poster, he could rant (boy he could he rant) he could be witty, deep, go off in realms of fantasy or do a cutting one liner. Whatever he was posting, you couldn’t help but like him. You just knew Neil was being Neil, not some online persona, he was being himself. When he used these
or a simple FFS! you knew that was exactly what he was doing in front of his screen. We had many a laugh together.
I got the impression that if Neil had channeled his passion and combined it with his intellect he could have done anything he wanted to, be anything he wanted to be.
There are many that will miss him, I wont forget him.
