Its not about prejudice and stereotyping its about safety and if they think your sexual practices aren't safe or you are in an 'unsafe group' thats their decision and they are correct to ask. I just hope people are honest and don't lie on the forms.

What worries me is that they now consider me to be a risk so I am not able to give blood anymore! (even though I have had clear AIDS tests etc)

I once needed two units after major surgery so once I was able I returned them to the blood bank!
Rules have changed and I am no longer able to give blood - all credit and thank you to those that do.
Did you know you cannot give blood if you ever have had sex with a bi-sexual man? That must rule out an awful lot of swingers from giving blood!
