What I do enjoy is someone I can share time during the day with (My work hours are not conventional as most people who know me will confirm lol) and shagg senesless.

Mark had without doubt put in many, many hours of hard work and created an extremely busy and viable site.
As I remember he has a young family and it must have been very hard work for him to continue the we really blame him for taking the money?
I do think it is a shame that he didnt feel , for whatever reason, that he could post his goodbyes and perhaps expain his actions but.............................................

I personally feel that there is far too mcuh negativity around tonight and that we should be looking forward not backwards. Remember this would have been highly valued becaus of the number of hits it gets per day not because of the "community" which is only a small part of the total package to most regualr users (i guess)

Sh is good, but it is not perfect. The idea of a private premium membership area quiet appeals to me. Hopefully this would lend itself to greater security (important for some of us who need to protect our identities) and like someone else said, more tolerance of non conformist views.
All change is not always bad, we have no option but to see what happens, lets hope it goes well and as I said earlier welcome to the site Elliot and Co !!!

I think one of the problems is that a lot of people have been here for a while are used to the the way things happen around here, and they've been a part of all of the conversations that go on around here - for them, anything that's been said before in the forum is a closed subject, and shouldn't be repeated. You may get what seems like a condescending reply from people who've taken part in a similar thread before, and know the outcome of that particular thread. I don't think it's because they're being condescending, but maybe they just don't want to go over old ground again.
I guess that's just life on a forum, I've never known a forum that's perfect, to be honest - but this one seems fairer than most.
I can understand why newbies might this there is a "class issue" at work on sh, but I dont think that is correct. Class is fairly irelevant on here but what is relevant and what does create cliques and "in crowds" is that fact that so many people have met via munches and therefor know each other, naturally because of this they jumpt to each others defence when the right moment arrises (hence people philo_osehper and cheetah are ostrosised when they make first post that are not in line with group thought)
You often see people that are initally outcasts become in crowd after they go to their first munch/party. However there are a small group of no munch goers like myself who will never be mainstream due to inability or not wanting to attend group gathe ings. That said I know Im on the outside and always will be , but I have some great times and met some wonderful people from all social classes.
Its not a class thing its just the human instinct to stick wth people we know

Oh sat night was fantastic!! We should have been going out and then h/b decided to be ill and I ended up bored to tears whilst he slept and slept and slept !!!!!!!
