9pm Thursday Night Quiz

THE NEW LEAGUE WILL START IN THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 2016. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR DAY/TIME/ROUNDS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME.

DJOHN HAS BEEN CROWNED AS THE WINNER OF THE SPRING LEAGUE TABLE WITH A GRAND TOTAL OF 50 POINTS.

MINIKAT WON THE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS QUIZ TO COMPLETE THIS SPRINGS QUIZZING LEAGUE. 

As of 03/03/2016 every profile will be playing for themselves. I will be posting individual scores in a new post at the end of the thread each week. The league table of the top accumulated scores will be posted and updated each week in this post. This will remove the inequalities between the number blokes and everyone else and it will be every man/woman/couple for themselves. So flex those fingers, get ya brains in gear but most of all enjoy.

Another fantastic quiz hour and thank you to all those who joined in. It was an absolute landslide for the blokes tho. Gals and couples spread the word to get more of u involved. After all the blokes outnumber all of us. The results were:

Couples .... 1 (top scorer Lateon 1)

Gals ..... 13 (top scorer minikat with 12)

Blokes ... 36 (top scorer DJohn with 12)

No one believes us, but Lat did get the melanophobia one first.  That gives couples one point, and puts me level with Kat.  Not a bad place to be ;-)

We need more couples next week.  Come and join the fun!

Thanks for that DJ .. I will amend the results accordingly. I did look back at the time and there were a few people who said blackness/darkness which was technically incorrect as it is specifically the colour black. If you are happy to concede the point tho I am happy to amend the results. Lassy xxx

Maybe the format needs to change, rather than the current couples/single males/single females pitted against each other, maybe it should

be an individual thing (couples count as one) where a league table is compiled from the results each week, thus everyone taking part

and who gets the right answer first is awarded a point etc.....each week the points are added to the those that scored them and over

time the league becomes established and away you go.

Brill idea ... I will be starting the new league table from this week and it is every man/woman/couple for themselves. See original post for a few more details. xxx

I've just finished preparing questions (more than 30 seconds before the start of the quiz!), so the quiz is on.  Come along to the quiz room tonight.
