Abandoning a Room

I'm abandoning one of my favourites purely because it's populated with the following:
1. Two way chat that dominates the Room.
2. A Chatroom Operator continues to grant/change the " KEY " to that Room to point No 1
3. Said people are permitted to post " Snide, derogitary remarks" and remain in the chat, whilst others aren't.
I will probably face a ban over this post, but as as A Site Moderater posted in another Forum, I was an Ex-Chatroom OP, not here but on a sibling Site, that qoute directed at me could possibly fall under a breach of the Data Protection Act.
Irrespective of my previous existence, I'm a member here and I hope that I'll be treated with the same dignity as others.
Padders meluvvly, first off, it's not I that's changing the key but jeepers dude you can always holler to one of us if there is a problem and we'll do our bestest to resolve it for you? Why didn't you say something earlier?
Re the room, I can't obviously comment on the specifics/politics of the particular room in question but suffice to say that irrespective of any personality clash you may be experiencing I think I can speak for the rest of the admin/chat-ops and Moderators and say that you are and always will be treated with respect (not sure dignity is the right word) where admin/ops/mods are concerned.
I'd ask you reconsider your stance re the abandoning of a room, I take your point but to harness your chat activity by way of abandoning your usual haunt would be a shame, I likes ya in chat just as you are, stick with it and move on and when in the room adjust accordingly.
Well if they ban you, they can ban us too.
We are members of this site the same as you, so I'm prepared to say that you haven't broken the DPA with your post, and if someone says you have I'll take the same punishment.
On a slightly different tangent, try posting in the cold light of day and not in the heat of the moment. That way we won't all get banned lol

People can talk to whoever they like, its just one of those things, you may not like it, but that's just the way it is, I'm sure that if someone had something really interesting to say it would get a response.

The chatroom operators do what they think is best at the time to keep things going rather than close rooms, it isn't easy, although its very easy to criticise, its not an exact science, you will just have to accept that they do the best that they can.

See above, it is the way it is and I think they do a pretty good job and are very fair.

We tend to limit bans to people that break the site rules so I don't think there's much risk of a post in the forum expressing an opinion will result in a ban, you're not even sailing close to the wind.

Sorry Paddy, I dont see how you can quote the Data Protection Act for someone saying you were an ex chat op, bearing in mind you are anonymous on here and were probably anonymous on the other site, whatever it was, too? And I can categorically state that there is no mention on your 'notes' to say you're an ex chat op anywhere. You're barking up the wrong tree there, Paddy.

Thanks for the Feedback Mal - I suggest you peruse the Forum posts where a Site Moderator did infact post the same!
For the record I was a Chatroom OP/Moderator on a sibling site-St3v3 I'm sure will confirm.
I'm aware of " Notes" left.......
St3v3 - thanks for your prompt reply - as you know I've no problem contacting you directly.

and that has diddly squat to do with the DPA. If it's not written down anywhere, as I confirmed, it is only a repeat of something they must have heard. A bit like me saying I'd heard you were left/right handed (delete as applicable).
However, I'm happy to be proved wrong, so if you care to show me the exact part of the DPA that refers to overheard speach, I'll take it on board.
