Does anyone know why we can't add a new chatroom? We're full members and, when we click on 'create room' the room appears briefly and then disappears. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
You only have a few seconds to go in yourselves otherwise it will close as it is empty.
you'll just have to be quicker!!

Ah, thank you smile
I take it then that when a room owner has finished with it, and as long as no one else comes in the room closes itself, or is an OP still needed? I've considered opening one myself but wanted to clarify this.
If a room is completely empty, it will close automatically. With the new chatroom, it will close automatically if the room owner leaves, so we never have the situation of a room without an owner!! It will give everyone in the room a 20second warning the room is closing to allow youy time to move to another room.

Further to Dlep's queries, I have two of my own:
Is the room owner identified in any way on the list of occupants?
Can the owner kick out individuals who are breaking the rules, or does that require a moderator?

Not at the minute and I am not sure if they will be in the new chatroom... I know we asked for it confused

Yes the room host has the ability to kick out people that are breaking the rules. You dont need an OP for that biggrin
We managed to add our own room, then got chatting with a lovely couple on msn for a short while and the room closed! Is this because of something we did wrong?
You need to be in the room hosting it hun... If you wander off and chat on MSN and an OP comes in, speaks to you and you dont reply then they will assume that you are not looking after the room and shut it...
If it wasn't that then it could be the server having a bit of a fit dunno

OK, a slightly different take, what if someone opens a public chatroom but as host, they kick people out just because they don't fall into the category of who *they want* in the room, i.e. because of location or gender?
I experienced this the other night and without warning from the host or even a request to leave because we were 'unsuitable' to be in the room, I and many others were kicked. The chatroom title didn't expressly request men only, although it did mention Reading, but should location automatically bar a person? Surely a public room is a public room? Are there any rules on which public rooms ppl can join?
You CANNOT kick someone from a room due to the colour of their skin, their geographical location, sexual orientation, their membership status or if they are not on cam. If, for example, you want a room for Couples only, you should make this a Private room with a password, so that entry is by invite only.
If this happens, report it, logs will be checked, and any action required will be taken - which includes a ban for repeat offenders.
