Anyone have any suggestions as to how i can get my iSight camera to work with the chatroom? Somewhat of a novice when it comes to cameras and chat rooms !
Camera works fine in iChat (in that you get a video preview). Closing iChat turns off the camera. Do i have to put account details into ichat settings? If so what are they?!
Am i being really stoopid ?
Likely.

I had a suspicion it might not ! But thanks for your replies anyway..

The built-in iSight on my MacBook works fine..
As the chatroom is a Flash movie then having the latest FlashPlayer for mac, , should help.
Don't worry about the web-site being German, it should work.
Also follow the tip on the top sticky item about giving Flash access to your cam.
It's not the built-in one being referred to. It's this... ..Iit's a plug-in one but high-quality with autofocus and CCD (excellent in low-light) and not CMOS (2 for a tenner in Homebase).
attach the isight as normal, check the settings / picture in video preview in ichat, close ichat, log in to the chatroom of your choice and in the main windownof the chatroom ctrl click to bring up context menu select settings which will show the video / audio prefernces of the chatroom, click the webcam icon and from the dropdown list choose firewire camera and your isight should be picked up no probs I think by default its set for usb which of course doesn't work natively with macs for webcams unless you use extra drivers and stuff and involves a lot of faffing about
Hi all
Here's a quick fix for anyone with an intel mac and running Flash 9 or OS X 10.4.8.
In chat right click/control click and go to settings, click on the webcam icon and change it too USB Video Class. Click close and you're working again.
The 10.4.8 upgrade included Flash 9 and intel macs maybe powerpc macs are a bit funky about Flash 9.
