CAM Recordings? Who and Why? And why the lack of guidance???

Hi All,
As recent new members we have noted the following statement when we click on our cam ",' , is requesting access to your cameras and microphone. if you click-allow. you may be recorded'"
Who is Fxy Net? This is a highly concerning statement, and it was not in the literature we signed up to by virtue of clicking yes, would you click on 'yes random bods record me'?
Now I may be incorrect but I am very observant, has any one else noted this text - i.e. you will be RECORDED - or MAY BE RECORDED - and moreover for SH staff, what does it mran - and can you publish the TERMS@ by which members ACTUALLY sign up to - as opposed to what appears to alter?
I love this site - if nothing else I might open discussion and awareness. x

basically are the Swinging Heaven servers that host Chat, not another company, so don't panic.
We understand that all Chat is logged and retained for a period of time, and only accessible to SH Admin team for when they are requested to investigate issues/complaints to them by users for breaches of the Chat Room T & C's and the site AUP mentioned earlier.
Hope this helps, though suspect either a Chatroom OP or Admin may respond with a fuller explanation.

if your on cam you can be recorded by any viewer that has the knowledge to do so and that includes msn chat etc ... best advice would be to not show something you wouldnt be happy to be recorded or only chat and show to 'teckie thickos' lol

Hi DD,
The warning message you saw is a generic one generated by the Adobe Flash player plug-in, not by SH. You would see it on any site where you allowed a Flash app to use your camera. I'm guessing the bit about recording is a belt-and-braces statement to cover Adobe more than you. ;)
