cams not working

hi, is any one else having problems viewing cams, i use to be able to view cams, but now i just get the SH logo rotaing

im getting this as well when im on the laptop, but i think my laptop is dodgy !!

i can't view or play my cam on mac

I changed browser, from chrome, at it seems to work

I all of a sudden can not view cams is a site issue ie anybody having problems or will it be my end 🤔

My problem is my own cam has not been working for months. I've gone into browsers and site permissions and regularly changed them. The odd thing is a couple of days back it worked perfectly and after a day it was blocked again.

Updating to iOS 16 seems to knock the cams out anyone know how to set this?

Is anyone else having trouble getting into the chat room? I am a gold member but unable to get in.

As an update; without doing anything differently, suddenly my webcam began working again and has worked every day since. (and it led to some welcome fun!)

I have a 2021 iPad and the camera will load but then after a very short time just bombs out and wont reload. Does anyone have the same issue and more importantly, how to sort the problem out, so the camera stays on.

My camera used to work fine now it only works for ten seconds then shuts off !! Wtf

A solution:

For the time being, you would still need to disable to experimental features - 1. Navigate to: Settings > Safari > Advanced > Experimental Features 2. Set "NSURLSession WebSocket" to OFF and restart Safari (or the phone/tablet). This seems to fix the issue for now at least.

There’s a known issue which has been reported to Apple by many other sites, but true to form they seem to be taking their sweet time fixing it. As Freddy41 said above, there is a workaround but every time you do a device update they reset it so you have to go back and change it again. 🤯

Same problem here, unable to view members cams, i just get the 'balloons' icon

This is what I have to do if using any apple device. Hope it’s of use to everyone. If cam goes off repeatedly this should solve. Always worth checking especially after any iOS update
