we have been trying most of the afternoon to access the site on both I.E and another browser we usually use, site wouldn't even load, have just been able to access site via aol browser but unable to access chat at all.
we did the aol upgrade this morning for new connection etc if that helps
Been on the phone to AOL for 55 min. no difference.
The last time I had similar problem, AOL helpline sorted it. THis time my call was taken somewhere in Asia....
still cant get in to chat .

I'm with AOL and ive not had any problems
Not on AOL, on Virgin ADSL.
Using Vista and IE7
Can get into rooms. Might see one text post. Then nothing, eventually it's greys out.
If I try and post when it's still responding my typing clears in the text box but doesn't appear in the room.
If I try and view a cam I might get a couple of frames then it freezes.
Cannot get in to chatrooms either, also on AOL

Using aol browser can access the site but chat room will not load - use internet explorer or mozilla and the site cannot even be found ! anyone any idea's?
We're trying our best to work out what is going wrong. It's definitely only AOL users that are having problems, I've had dozens of tickets over night, all from AOL users, all with the same difficulty.
One or two members mentioned that when they completed the Communication test, Port 80 kept failing. I wondered whether this was for everybody or just those few cases. I'd appreciate you giving this a go:
Thanks.
i get
http tunelling default failed
http 80 failed
Amanda and John
Thanks for trying to help.
Have been back onto aol, and basically they tell us to delete history and cookies, but this is not working
i get
http tunelling default failed
http 80 failed
I get the same result. I have also re-installed latest Flash player. Again.....no joy Grrrrrrrrrrr
RTMP DEFAULT Success
RTMP 80 Success
RTMP 443 Success
RTMP 1935 Success
HTTP Tunneling DEFAULT Failed
HTTP Tunneling 80 Failed
If the problem was just with the servers then it would affect everyone and not just some users surely??
Virgin are famous for throttling ports too.
Keep getting in to chatroom area but no actual chat rooms is it me or what???
13:00 Update - Sex life gone out the window
13:10 Rang the nunnery meeting sister angelina at 15:00 hopefully will be enconsed in our 3x3 room complete with hard bed and book of prayers by this evening.
I wonder do the sisters use AOL as well?
Actually I wonder if they have a group SH login
13:13 I need to rethink, perhaps join buddist monks in Tibet!
13:14 We do need to get this fixed I am clearly going quietly mad
