we have been trying most of the afternoon to access the site on both I.E and another browser we usually use, site wouldn't even load, have just been able to access site via aol browser but unable to access chat at all.
we did the aol upgrade this morning for new connection etc if that helps

:kick: :kick: ok dont know if i am posting loads of replys here so apologies if I am because the pages are not loading properly.
This is the 1st time I have been able to get on the site all day...I was just gonna say that I've just got into chat too but its just greyed out!!
I've cleared chat and going through IE but it isn't making much of a difference really....When it does play properly, the pages load really slowly too.
I have checked with other sites that I go on but its only this one...oh and youtube that I am having problems accessing!!
Anyone any ideas please?????

I know its not much help at the moment but we are on Virgin and rarely have a problem so if anyone's broadband contract is coming to an end then maybe try Virgin ( their customer service is still as shite as all the rest thou)

Using Vista and IE7
Can get into rooms. Might see one text post. Then nothing, eventually it's greys out.
If I try and post when it's still responding my typing clears in the text box but doesn't appear in the room.
If I try and view a cam I might get a couple of frames then it freezes.

Just to let you all know have spent 3 hours on the phone to aol, reinstalled very thing as suggested. Change settings. Still no chatroom.

Tried everything I could think of .....even reinstalling aol as you have and still no joy. Really strange because all the other sites I visit are running perfectly, and all other sections of SH are fine.....only the chat room fails. The chat room page appears but no one in ! I hope admin can come up with an answer.

There are no firewall problems,even re-installed flash player.....had another can of lager - even that didnt work - so best stick to the lager

we're still having exactly same problems as you wakey and tried everything you have plus anything else we could think of, very fed up with it now

We're trying our best to work out what is going wrong. It's definitely only AOL users that are having problems, I've had dozens of tickets over night, all from AOL users, all with the same difficulty.
One or two members mentioned that when they completed the Communication test, Port 80 kept failing. I wondered whether this was for everybody or just those few cases. I'd appreciate you giving this a go:

that is excactly what i get as well and just to let you know we are members on the sister site swingers personals and we have the same prob there as well but on the other 4 sites we use we can access the chatrooms without a problem is not just with aol users of which we are one but i know of virgin users having the same problem lies with the servers on the 2 sites and i guess sh and sp are using the same ones

Lots of aol users and some virgin isp users are affected too,could put money on you being one of them.
