CANT GET INTO CHAT ROOMS - AOL user?
Actual conversation with aol representative Sunday 24th .....good old aol eh?...time for isp change we think

I guess its just a case os sitting and waiting and keep trying the chatrooms,and hope we all get back in sooner rather than later.
I just hope whatever AOL need to do to fix this problem they can do automatically at thier end rather than us all having to make changes etc.

amazing how much excitement we can cram into our lives when we cant get into the chat rooms aint it...................NOTThanks wakeycouple for sharing your convo with aol. I now much regret having signed on for another 18 months with aol ( carphone warehouse ). I guess we just have to be patient and hope some geek sorts it out soon. Meanwhile, I'm suffering serious withdrawal symptoms, but at least the blisters on the palms of me hands are healing !

We also have been with AOL for many, many years but I do have to say we have been experiencing more and more issues with them of late. No just SH where there have been a few problems over the last 12 months. But also with many other sites, some of which haven't even been swinging sites or use of chatrooms.
I do think that sooner rather than later, despite being such 'valued' customers of AOL, we will have no alternative but to go elsewhere.
I was going to sign up to some TV, Phone & Broadband deal but I do hear that there will be a serious 'satelite' challenge to Sky later this year from a non-UK based organisation. So will probably go for a straight broadband deal. I did see earlier in this thread that someone did have problems getting their 'mac' code from AOL. This is used when switching suppliers.

You are right! We are doing ourselves no favours, our reputations as repectable, professional, considerate and intelligent members of the SH community is being shot to bits!
More importantly our reputation as incredibly sexy, adventurous, imaginative and 'do not miss us!' people may not stand up to closer imspection.
Lets make a deal when we get back in the chatrooms never, ever menttion the ironing. Especially the bit about the leopard skin thong of the extra large elephant briefs!

Hmmmm....Ok I was just trying to impress with teh extra large bit! If I was honest its more of a baby elephant size but I think I washed them on hot and they shrunk!

Don't get into 'Facebook' that is just so sad and incredibly adictive. You can play silly games, send aimless invites to people you apperently knew in years gone by but can't really remember.
I apparently have a red heart ,which makes me passionate, sexy, adventurous and imaginative (not bad really!) and I am a Rabbit as in the Sex Toy not the fluffy creature!
And don't logon to e-bay, last time we had problems getting into SH it cost me a fortune!!

We were looking at a website listed by another user here earlier in this thread and it apears that AOL arn't the best or worse ISP, we thought about moving once before when we couldn't get our wireless router working but AOL did sort it.
When you go into changing ISP you have to make sure you go through the right procedure and get markers taken off the line and it would appear to us that it takes time.
We think SH and AOL should get together and sort out why it doesnt work, after all we are paying customers of both organisations?

Well aren't you the lucky one Gillian. There are dozens if not hundreds of us who are unable to access the chat rooms properly. Same old story........chat room page opens but no one there. Have checked and rechecked since last thursday, done everything that's been suggested/reccommended and still to no avail. :cry:

we've been with aol for years, never really had a problem, also the tech support has been very good, but if they are going to tell me which sites I can or cannot visit i think its time to move on. and yes i just signed up to the 18 month contract for supposedly superfast braodband. In reality its slower than it was before! o2 are doing the same service for a month if you are an existing customer. good luck!
just looked at the number of people who have accessed the 2 chatroom forum threads that refer to problems with access. The number of SH members who have viewed this subject now exceeds 10,000.....yes ...TEN THOUSAND, so unless aol want to lose customers bigtime they blasted well better sort it out and soon !
