tonylisa read the convo from aol up above hun they admit its thier fault
problem definitely sits with aol, i'm talking to non-aol friends on msn and they have no problems getting into SH chat. I just don't know why people feel they have to reinvent the wheel, it all worked reasonably well before they started meddling ffs

Good old Hey-Ho-Hell. Some things never change. Same old telephone / live help online tech support responses:
"we have a dedicated team of expert technicians are working to resolve this and we are sure that this problem will be rectified soon. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused"

Sadly, this is the usual response that the inadequate AOL live help tech support team are obliged to give for any (often simple) problems that customers are facing that they cannot resolve.
For years, this has generally been the case and probably always will be. A friend of mine worked for their tech-help support section. Needless to say, he left due to the dept having no formal structural guidelines in place.
I myself once rang them asking for help with my connectivity problems and as a shining example of their professionalism and understanding of my question, the telephone operative asked how they could help me with my love life today. . Sadly, I didn't have the time to spend all day chatting...... Lol

Joking apart I think it is pretty apparent that there are many people who have had / are having what cannot be described as a 'Customer Delight' experience with AOL.
We shall be moving provider as soon as I get my cute arse in gear!

Of course if we were in the rooms we would be more suttle, using our charm, wit and perspecacity to woo you into bed. But as we don't have the chance to use our obviously talents a more direct approach seems appropriate.

After 3 days of no chatrooms and lots of phone calls to AOL. They have the cheek to send me a customer survey form and to rate their performance.
Told them it was crap and will be moving to another provider
