Using "take me to "on beach etc ? No directing what does this mean please? Also what is the accepted /correct way of entering a chatroom for the first time as we do realise there are protocols involved and don't wish to get off on the wrong foot?
we'd like to start using the chatroom but its very intimidating and we dont know all the advice on how to enter and sort of announce yourself etc? without upsetting anyone?
We are a couple looking to get friendly with a single man over 45 as our profile shows.
Hopefully a Mod will pick this up and transport it to the Chatroom Lounge thread which is a more appropriate place to ask these questions.
"No Directing" means that if someone is on cam and you are viewing, you aren't allowed to ask, coaxe, pursuade (etc) them into doing specific actions for you - just simply enjoy the show.
There is no specific etiquette, but IMHO it's good to see you ask. Just join in the banter, get to know people, don't whisper anyone (a private conversation) without asking first and getting a "yes" from them, and keep a generally positive attitude towards it.
There are lots of good tips in the Chatroom Rules (available here http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/chatroom/user-rules.html) and the Chatroom Lounge (which is where this thread is likely to be moved).
Welcome onboard to the wacky world of SH chat! biggrin
hi cdave - good that you ask these questions, and welcome to forum wave Can I suggest you take 20 minutes to read the chatroom rules and also the guides written here in the forums as regards new people on site or starting out with SH. They really are quite concise well worth the investment in your time. With luck we might even catch you in chat if so then be sure and say hi!
This may end up on the chatroom lounge forum confused:
