The circles are in fact the male/female gender symbols which I didn't know are the symbols for Mars and Venus! Learn something new every day! lol
And the yellow/gold star indicates Chat room ops.

And a grey star is an op who has marked him / herself as idle.
And a no entry sign on any symbol means that they have marked themselves as away. This is also used when somebody is busy.

Those are user set and correspond to 'available' and 'away' there is also a yellow option 'busy' and the very rarely used blue 'chatty'

Hope that helps

Lap

This was answered, by lap in chat, bottom left is an arrow, that allows you to set a status. Thanks Lap smile

The colour of the star just shows what type of mod/op we are. The grey/silver/platinum (this is up for debate 😉) star is an op/ moderator of the local rooms rather than also global rooms which is the gold/yellow star...we're definitely not always idle 😅

Hi , not really about icons but similar. Why are some chatroom members in bold type ?

They are matches to what you are looking for

Does anyone know what the blue circles with an arrow head in mean next to the profile name?

That would be a profile that is a match for your preferences set in your profile.
