give it time..... remember you are walking into rooms where people talk to each other alot and socialise together.......imagine walking into a pub, would you expect everyone to talk to you as if they had know you for a while.....
just give it a little time... and work your way in....

Yep had the same think and as Fabio said took some time to get into things and be accepted. Think its same for all so just keep going in and find a regular room which helps rather than flitting around too much. Do that later.
What's the matter with SH this weekend!!??? This is about the 3rd thread on the very same subject.
Is it me or are people either being so rude or just sticking to their own and not opening up to new people? It does go on I know but not everyone are like that.

Why don't you open up your own chatroom sometime and call it something like *for the ignored members". I'll join you!
As a fairly recent "newbie" to chat-it can be difficult to "break" in. However do keep trying and I agree, just stick to a couple of rooms and get to know people. The important thing is to chat!!!
Also - keep an eye out for the people organising them will take u under their wing and introduce you to people.
It doesn't take long to be a regular. Good luck.

We would never ignore a couple like you guys curious. Come and say hi to us in the Kent room on server 1. We have been told it is the most " friendliest " room on the chat rooms. lol.

the rooms can be like that sometimes but also it depends on how you chat and what you say......there are lots of peeps who say hello when you come into the room....it might not mean they will chat more....we are all adults and have iam sure been ignored in other situations but depending on how your feeling is if you really care or not!!!!!!.....do persevere....lots of nice peeps around as well as not!!

we always say hi back to peeps....the rooms were running so slow over the weekend that whoever had probably thought they were being ignored n gone b4 it came up.....

We came to the conclusion that its the same as a vicar walking into a pub or a headmaster walking into a class room situation. People may feel a little awkward discussing things in front of those that stand out especially in authority? You wear the star so's ya stand out innit.
Mind you me missus thinks the lone stars are sexy and wants one (so i bought her a play cowboy set for her birthday ssssshhhhh

Hmmm, I can see the thinking behind that, but surely unless people are chatting about stuff that they shouldn't be then there is no need to halt the conversation just because an Op joins the room
