Ive just seen the message about the chatrooms being free for a week.
I assume this is to try and entice some new members . Im all for that but would like to raise a few points.
The site has become noticeably top heavy with single males in the last few months. Although I am one (he he ) , there does seem to be a number of good couples / females who Ive got to know , who are drifiting off the site , and it will have a knock on effect . I know the bottom line is the site wants members to make money, but the bigger picture has to be taken into consideration. Lack of couples / females, will drive more males to other (far cheaper) sites.
Whilst I appreciate its almost impossible to verify , it wouldve been good to have had the free week just for couples and single females ?
As most of us are fee paying members , does that mean we will get our membership extended for 8 days free of charge ? That seems only fair.
I dont how mucg of an impact the free viewing will cause, but at a time when a lot of people are on holiday and will get chance to use the site more, it will be frustrating if paying members cant get into rooms becuase of this. Maybe the free access should be given to one specific main room e.g. The Pool ?

In our experience this sort of freebie only creates problems for the users of the chatroom.

Thinking back it takes a short while to get used to these chat rooms. So many others chat facilities are so poorly moderated and destroyed by fools that folk take time to adjust.
I welcome the new influx and am glad that the NO directing advice has been clarified.
I think the pool regulars who may feel "our" room is being invaded should take refuge in one of the rooms at the end of the entry list where newbies will only fear to tread once they have found their feet.

Whilst I admire your sentiment and you look quite sexy in those black pants and you're 'well built in the right places', this is a commercial site and their strategy is to make money. I'd worry if, as business leaders their heads were in some of the tactical stuff you talk of above.
What next? Symbiosis to stand at the door of the chat rooms and do a 'meet and greet' with every new members as they join the chat room?

The single men will continue to come, regardless of who's here - they don't know the statistical breakdown of the membership database before they input their credit card details. It's the same thing that drives some single men to Dogging sites at 1am, that drives them here.... sex. It's one of the fundamental drivers of mankind so if people can find a way to make commercial gain from that, they will. Oldest profession in the world! ;)
As others have already said, new blood is good. Whilst I don't post a lot right now, there's been some great new members/posters that seem to have brought the place back to life.

well it could work in that they would all be newbies together and all starting at the same point. Often newbies in the 'full time' forums take a while to get started when they see all the stuff that goes on.
The forums can be read without being a member so in that way they get to see what goes on. But obviously to participate they need to join.

Excellent suggestion Hooters, but can't see it happening somehow. The powers that be don't seem interested in keeping the existing fee-paying members happy, their ownly interest seems to be in getting some fresh meat!

But it's also crashed when there has been no free week, so if we have problems, yet gain more members, isn't that a silver lining in that particular cloud?

Free chat week means more numpties than normal to ignore - not a problem i've been doing it for years. Does mean i leave my cam off now though simply to cut down the whispers (yes i know we can control them more now).
However the site crashing out constantly not just for me and blue on seperate computers but a large number of others in the Pool and elsewhere both Saturday and Sunday nights is already a pain. I gave up last night and that annoys me that as a paying member the crashing may well be tied up with the larger influx of numbers coming in who arent paying for the service at the moment.
