Whilst I can see the chat in my iPod Touch (G3 iPod, iOS4 software) using wifi, I can't see any cams. Is this because iPod / Apple don't support flash?
The 'old' chat room didn't work at all.

Please can you clarify, do you mean the new chat (ie you are a chat tester) or the 'old' chat (ie the current one, that non testers use)

The answer is simple,
Apple announced several months ago, see separate thread in here about it,

that they will NOT support Adobe Flash Player on any of their mobile product range, includes iPad and iPhones.
Therefore as the new Beta chat does NOT use Adobe Flash Player for chat itself, you can now see and participate in the new chat room (noticed you can't in the existing/old chat ?).
However Adobe Flash Player is still used for video/web cams in the new Beta chat, therefore as your device doesn't have Adobe Flash Player you won't be able to see cams when in new chat.
This isn't a SH issue, rather a Apple/Adobe issue and until Apple allow Adobe Flash Player to be installed on their mobile devices something all Apple iPad and iPhone owners will have to live with.
