Is this what the chat rooms have descended into

very few people actually talk !! Just loads and loads of pictures being posted.

Agree totally and if you try to join in and post some pics, then you get inundated with private messages and can't keep up conversations with them all.

We tend to do our chatting privately whilst we're in the chatrooms. Makes life a lot easier.

 True, but as it’s a chat room, shouldn’t there be some chat ?? Rather than just posting pictures of a cock

If you enter one of the photo chat rooms then people will be posting photos.  If you want pure chat then steer clear of those ones and pick a non-photo room, as denoted by the lack of the photo icon in the room list.

 Have to agree with steco, I like to read the chat and even sometimes take part, but with all the pictures in the chat rooms it is annoying at times, most times. If you wish to show pictures why not just show them in media and leave the chat rooms for chatting.

I stand by my previous reply.

Lots of people are chatting - just not in open view.  Reason?  Well partly because, for females and couples here especially, if they do post in the main room it's not too long before you get bombarded with unsolicited whispers and messages - some of which can be quite boorish and vulgar. Also when we chat here it's normally with people we've come to know and we don't want the subjects we're discussing to be in the open room.  I reckon the balance here is about right.  There are rooms in which to display pictures and others just for chatting. I don't see why chatting privately in any room is a problem for anyone else to be honest and if you don't want to see images then stay out of the rooms in which they're allowed just as we choose to stay out of any rooms we're not interested in. Pretty straightforward really. There's another option too for those who're unhappy.  Be proactive and open a room for all likeminded members who're fed up with all the others on offer - maybe it could be called something catchy like the "Chat openly only - Images forbidden & no lurking!!" room...

Go to settings in the Chat room (gear symbol, top right next to 'Rooms (xx)'

In settings  untick 'show images in Chat'

Problem solved.

We've never really got the hang of the public forums, just seems to be lots of people all talking at once and keeping up with the conversations or joining in we find difficult, so we don't.  But we do chat in private, fairly quickly work out who the knobs are and ignore them.  Agree with others that don't see the point of posting photos in chat, doesn't add anything and would get in the way of the chat.  For the UK chat rooms, is the photos bit needed as you can go and perve their profile

How about an option on your account where you can select if you dont want to see any photos from 3 options 'male or female or couples ? '  Just a thought 

totally spoilt the don't bother with them just sat in rooms not talking.

 And therein lies the problem.  The chat rooms are used by hundreds of people every day, but a few naysayers don’t like it so new users get the wrong impression.  

@ Mr n00bs:  don’t take others opinions as gospel, head on over to chat and make your own decisions.  It’s fun, and you will most likely get something out of it.
