I wonder if any teccy people on here can give me a bit of advice.
I have a Logitec web cam with built in microphone which seems to work perfectly when I am Skyping. But when it is used on here the web cam works but nobody can hear what I am saying. I have done all the relevant tests on my pc and it seems to be working fine.
Am I missing something here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Microphone not working
I don't think the sound function works very well in the chatrooms on here. I have a built in webcam on my laptop and everything is set so that the built in cam and mic are used. In , it all works beautifully. But, in chat, it is hit and miss. On a couple of occasions in the past, I have been <ahem> entertaining in a chatroom and have been asked to put on sound, and it has worked absolutely fine. On other occasions, it has dipped in and out or just not worked at all.
In short, I don't think it has anything to do with your settings or your cam. I think it's the chatroom functionality that is the issue in this case.

Yes you are probably right there, and thanks for the help.
Just in case you're not getting it quite right....
When you're in chat
1/Turn your camera on
2/Hit the 'Allow' Box
3/Hover the mouse in the 'My Camera Box' (which is where you now should be on cam)
Right Mouse Click
4/ Should give you a dropdown which go then to 'settings' select that.
Now you should have another box and along the bottom there are some icons, once of which is a microphone, if you click that you should then get another selection, it might say 'built in microphone' and it should also give the name of the camera you're using eg: logitech camera or if you're using your laptop microphone it may give you the option to click that.
Once selected, press close and that may then give your camera some sound.
(the above also applies to the camera icon (if people wonder why their camera aint working you can use the above procedure to select your camera (by using the settings feature and the camera icon etc)

At the same time as this when you see your camera in the my camera panel there is a an microphone icon next to the X which if clicked (the mic icon) it will give you the option to switch your mic on
