OK post the chat room solution for AOL users

Would like the solution to the chat room bug that stops aol users getting into the 2 new chat rooms. Please don't say change isps, that is just plain silly.
We access the chat through iexplorer, but aol is our service provider. Not worked since the new chat system has been live.

Yep read all that post, interesting, but not a help. maybe we should have a break from all this and go for long walks in the countryside instead :-).

Sorry, I was just trying to help, but what I was getting at is that it is not a site issue, it is an AOL issue, so maybe you should be asking AOL what they are prepared to do (and I dont mean to come accross as patronising, but cant think of anothe way to say it) smile

I am not on AOL but sky & still have the same problems so it can't be just AOL that is coursing the problem.

If in doubt roll out the oldest and best cure all software, server, isp, stuck in the loo ? tech support answer.............

I cant see how AOL get blamed, before chatrooms changed I could get on whilst other AOL users couldnt, now I cant get on while others can, is it AOL??

ok so I managed to get in chat but I am suffering severe lag, any ideas??

hi gillian; aol user here. I can't get into the chat rooms with the aol browser, it just doesn't work. Explorer is just as bad. I use firefox no problems at all. Have thought about moving ISP but not frustrated enough with aol yet lol. Have you tried firefox??

Hi, Ive never ever had a problem with AOL and have used it for years, yes I know I'm probably due a change but its the hassle factor that stops me to be honest

I am logged in now and using chatrooms via aol. So it seems the problem is not just aol.

I am on AOL, using the AOL browser and I have never had a problem accessing the site or the chatrooms, other than when the servers are down etc, which everyone has problems with. I notice it is running quite slow atm and this is a brand new all singing all dancing lappy, so I'm guessing there's a bit of an issue somewhere -- but it ain't to do with AOL. I have two lappys and even on the old one I have never had a problem accessing SH with AOL.

Ive never had a problem with the chatrooms until the last few days, its very very slow. Never had a problem on any other chat sites using AOL

Isnt it amazing how much housework you can do when not chatting. Think I'll have to give it a miss more often

Use Sky here and rarely if ever have problems getting into chat dunno
