pc problems

do we have any computer buffs on sh ???
my problem is when i play sound in chat and run cam with mic open my chat realy slows down somtimes my sound breaks up .im runing a pent4 proceser with 1gig ram and have an extream adio sound blaster card fitted as well as a gforce grafix card with 250k.
help please

Have you tried a computer forum? Today might not be the best day to get help in here - people shopping, getting ready to go out etc.

problem.
I see your using a sound blaster card.
Using xp?
Go to start/control panel/sound speech and other audio devices.
click on sound,speech and devices again.
This should bring up box called sound,speech,devices properties.
where is says speaker settings click advanced.
next click the performance tab.
reduce the hardware acceleration until problem stops.
It may also be that you have something running on your system which is hogging the processor power as your sound card uses its own processor.

All that aside- that's the same problem I was having last time I was in chat.
When I plugged in my cam, I couldn't type- ended up holding up notes on screen!
