All these disconnection errors appear to be down to the number of hops between people using chat and the chatservers, we believe that some routes to the servers take more hops and somewhere the connection just drops, or something like that.
When we moved data centers some time back to the other side of the States there were more disconnections so we moved them back to the other coast (where they started).
We have been looking at ways to stop this, at the moment were currently having talks with some some UK data centers and will be running some trials very soon.
Thats not to say that this recent issue you have isn't something else, but I thought it was worth mentioning where we are on the whole disconnection issue.
Added, looks like tonights problem is something else though, I'll take a look.
