Thank the Lord for British Telecom! We have now ended our contract with Tiscali and have switched to "good olde faithful"
The whole process was painless and we did not even notice the switch over. They increased our bandwidth and threw in one of those homehubs for free. They even gave us £30 of gift vouchers!
We can now access the Chatroom during peak hours. This proves that the fault lies with peoples ISP's/ Tiscali and not www.swingingheaven.co.uk.
So all the people who gave admin, the tech guys and the ops hell about bad service and being ripped off due to the chatroom not working with their ISP... We think a big sorry is in order! redface

Good News Warks !! lol
I have had BT all whistles and bells for ages, and still get problems with sh and only sh. I sometimes get frustrated and show this in the rooms, but have on the odd ocassion been told by an op to stop moaning, which to be frank pisses me off. Who are these people to tell me to stop moaning?
The one thing that seems to get forgotten is that we are the customers here and we, in this household have spent £125 on memberships for the two accounts.
There is nothing wrong with my system, i dont get problems anywhere else and get fed up with patronising comments.
While on the subject does anyone have a reason why everyone shows as offline, even when they are in the chatrooms, chatting happily with people???? Baffling that.

If you have not been active on the forum/main site for a period of around 24 minutes, you are automatically logged out of the site, but not the chatservers.
Maybe this is why?

So whats the point of looking at your friends list to see if anyone is online and everyone showing offline. This didnt used to be the case. It makes no sense.

its not a new feature of the site or anything, its a glitch while the site is going through some changes.
however, in future members wil be able to hide from other members so that they cant be followed about the site and pestered, as i understand it.
i think if you regularly read the threads in this room you will find alot of answers to your questions without having to come across as "moaing" or having a go.
I know I'm not anybody's friend lol but i prefer to show "offline" for the very reason sexkitten mentions above.
Obviosuly posting on the forum or being seen in the chatrooms is an indication that I an actually online but I don't like the idea of people purposely looking for me. confused
