just wanted to say a big :thumbup: to all you chatroom mods. wow its been an experience going in there the last few nights :grin: how the hell do you keep up with it all!!

my last word on this but the chatroom should be as important as the forum in a way as being on the bottom of each page as the forum, lets meet up, and doggers.

This forum was set up originally on a trial basis and then became permanent. They didn't put the link at the bottom because it was temporary whereas all the other forums have been there since the beginning. I think you'll agree their priorities are elsewhere at the moment, but I'm sure eventually they will put a link in.

was good to see you in the chat rooms last night, all of you :twisted:
its not to bad in there is it, and have to echo your words in saying big up to the ops in there. especially over the last few days, a lot of people off work with time on their hands and odd attitudes of late and they( the ops) have been working really hard to make the chat a happy place
good to see the chat has earned link status.
i understand that when the site started chat wasnt the "thing" but the site has grown and so has chat, lets hope the new chat is just as good.

I just want to emphasize this bit confused

Lots of people have commented on the attitudes of a proportion of chatters in the last few weeks or so. Yes we know there are problems with the site and it's frustrating-but the Admin team are working to make it a better place for us all. And we have to take into account that people have been off work, which may have caused unecessary excitement and 'high-spirits' for want of a better way of putting it (twatiness works mind rolleyes

). BUT there has been a marked increase in rudeness and general ignorance in the chatrooms of late-let's hope it's just temporary eh?
Myself and the rest of the Ops would ask that chatters who see something out of order that is not dealt with that you report it to one of us Ops, or a Mod if you can't find one of us. Logs are kept for 90 days and any abuse/acts against the AUP will be dealt with.
Ops show in purple on the main forum, Mods show in green.
Unfortunately we can't all be here all of the time and your help in this is appreciated. ;)

Ok, so maybe it wasn't what it looked like initially, but I think you did the right thing ;) Sometimes it's easy to get caught up with an arguement in the chatrooms which usually escalates matters. The time spent arguing could be more productively spent Pming the chatter/an Op to sort it out smile

We do have quite a few regular chatters who will let us know if something needs dealing with, big thanks to them biggrin

It's not 'grassing people up' or 'naming and shaming' as it's very often the same people time and time again breaking the same rules. Any reports are handled confidentially in a private forum.
