very bad lag

Hi
I've not had a problem with the chat room before but for the last few day the lag has been bad to , at one point it was over 40 seconds before what i wrote appeared on the screen.
Any help gratefully noted.
P.s i got a fairly new pc less than a year old.....and a 16 meg broadband line from BT and all other internet functions are fine

hi i'm normally in bbw room server 1....but i've tried others and they seem just as bad

I'm getting lots of people on all servers telling me about the lag.
No lag here, but others do seem to be affected.

I had it, was going to ask you about it, but you had gone before the text came up lol

All servers, but server 1 was the worst.

i've just been having a wonder around the servers and rooms....seems like alot of people are affected server 3 being the least with only a 3 to 10 second delay...and server 1 being the worst............

I'd have to say thats its mostly down to the number of users/connections;
Server 1: 614, Server 2: 476, Server 3: 448
I did think about restarting server 1, but all I'd achieve is a slight reprieve whilst people are getting back in.

i have found this on and off and mostly in server 1and 2
ceratainly when room gets full gets very frustrating. I doest not affect wispers though, i have posted in room then wispered and wisper will be instant in room will arrive 20 seconds later.
Is there anything that can be done, as this does not inspire me to chat on really busy nights. confused

Server 1 lag this afternoon 3 mins 45 secs between sending message and it appearing in the room

Thats ok, we are looking at it, would you let us know what chatserver as we tried something on Chat 1 qand if thats ok we can roll the same change across to chat 2 & 3
