Worked a treat..
Thanks paddy :-)
** Update The latest version of flash has a bug that runs twice, especially in Windows 7
To check press Ctrl+Alt+Del keys and select ' task manager ' then processes, you'll probably see it running twice, by selecting the KILL option will achieve nothing and it will continue to slow your PC/laptop/Tablet.
If you follow my previous post this should help:

Why, thank you Mincepie smile
Adobe has as yet been unable to fix a problem which has left many Firefox users unable to watch Flash.
A recent update to the software affecting users of the browser on Windows Vista and Windows 7 has been causing the Firefox browser to crash.
Mozilla said: "Adobe and Mozilla are working closely to diagnose and address these issues...In the meantime, Firefox users experiencing problems viewing videos in Flash Player should try the workarounds"

Hope this helps people

He folks,
I hope this helps to fix your cam issues....
Adobe have not made it easy to run this fix but I got it to work like this:
you can downgrade your Flash Adobe version (back to 11.1) by visiting this link:

Once downloaded you will have to unzip the content to your PC or MAC.
Select the operating system you have and use the relevant folder.
Run the uninstall
Restart your PC
Go back to the folder relating to your operating system and find the 2 .msi files
Do it like this
Example:
Run flashplayer11_1r102_63_win_
Now reboot
Run flashplayer11_1r102_63_winax_
Your cam should now work
Good luck n happy chatting….
Ste

Ah feck it...............it may be quicker just to post you my computer lol

Same all that and still don't work, even tried the new keep getting a pop up with all sorts of weird stuff about immages and allsorts when i close by black screen on the worse now !!!
my cam works for a while, then although I can still see it, the cam goes invisible to others. If I switch it off, I am automatically kicked out off chat altogether,in other words that element of s.h crashes.
now, its not the cam, works perfectly fine on other sites etc, so any suggestions? I have tried all the stuff that has been suggested, so any help/ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,
We've received a dozen reports regarding some webcam problems since Adobe Flash Player was updated to version 11.2 (release date was 28/03/12).
The reports suggested problems that when a user attempts to turn on their webcam, a still frame is shown rather than a continuous stream or the cam is streaming but remains 'zoomed in'. It doesn't seem to be effecting everyone however.
The problem has been discussed on the Abode Forums where Adobe staff have indicated that they are looking into the problem and are welcoming bug reports.
For any one effected, you can downgrade your Flash Adobe version (back to 11.1) by visiting this link:

The download is 174 MB and will need to be extracted from it's zip format and then ran as an executable file.
We hope that Adobe are working on the problem and that they will be very shortly releasing a new update to fix this.
I have read the forum posts regarding webcam problems and the supposed fix by reverting to a previous version of adobe. On vista I can see the cams clkearly but on windows 8 they all show as a blank green screen. Sureky the fix we need is for the SH site to run properly using the latest version of adobe? Rather than expect members to make adjustments to their computer settings?

The links you have provided all relate to problemw with getting a webcam to work with windows 8. My webcam works fine, the problem I have is viewing other webcams on the SH site. I can see them OK on my old PC (windows vista). But on Windows 8 they all appear as green screens :-(
Luckyseven,
http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/support-tickets/new-ticket.html
and the site Techies should be able to assist.
To be honest a mix of machines here running versions of Win 7 (32 & 64) and various IE Browsers (32+64) and Win 8 (64), plus various associated latest versions of Adobe and don't have any issues.
Worth trying as well ?
I do sometimes get it that I cannot view a webcam but it's usually a temporary issue and I am able to rectify it myself with a bit of a 'bodge' so to speak.
Here is how I am sometimes able to sort it.
I'm in a room, I click onto a camera, I get the timer thing and the 'connecting' but then it drops out, ( cannot remember the message it gives but as soon as I get it again I'll update it here) when this happens and where others are on cam it tends to happen with all the cams I select until i apply the 'bodge'
The bodge is, rather than select another camera to replace the failed one, I make sure I close the camera box down, by this I mean a failed camera will show the name of the member in the box, where say it says 'camera 1' it will say 'jogonsoapybollox', to close it down altogether I click the x so it returns to 'camera 1 or camera 2 or wherever you are via cameras your viewing, once I've done that I take my mouse out of the Live Cams box and move it to the members box underneath, I highlight a member name by clicking on it (can be any member name) and thats all I do, I then return my mouse to the Live Cams box, click on the camera I want and invariably it will bring that camera to life.
It's a bit rudimentary but it does work for me and almost every time at that. Some cameras will just keep showing as disconnecting but this is usually because the member in question has switched their camera off but for whatever reason it's not shown as disconnected, can take a few minutes in some cases.
PS At the time of posting 'Jogonsoapybollox' is not a member of this site and was used purely as an example for the purposes of this post.
