Help!!
I've been successfully using a USB plug-in webcam on SH for several years now. All of a sudden, the built-in cam operates when I attempt to switch on in chatrooms - and the USB cam advises that it is USB 2.0 and won't work with USB 3.0 ( which my HP laptop does not have!
I've bought a new USB cam, model HD 4310 by HP, and the sales guy said that this newer device would establish itself automatically as the default cam when the driver is installed - but it doesn't.
So - how do I set up the USB cam as default camera. The built-in cam gives a rotten picture, concentrates on the face rather than more interesting bits, and I can't type whilst the screen is angled to show those interesting bits!
Help and advice please!

Hi there try going into control panel/hardware and Sound/ on the top line click on device manager, on the list look for sound and video controllers, look for your device there and disable the one you do not want, now when you click on the window, it should then find the new cam you have bought.
