It may suprise you to know that becoming a chatroom op has reduced my opportunity to 'chat to my mates' by probably 90%. Whereas before I was chatting for hours with them, I am now lucky to get a few minutes. Most of the ops are in and out of chat throughout the day. And we do have 'real' jobs as well
I know it may be an inconvenience to not find an op when you want, but we are all trying to help you all have a good time on site. I personally did not realise how much work went on ' behind the scenes' to ensure that the site runs smoothly. So, if you need an op, and cant find one, leave a pm and I am sure one of us will get back to you as soon as possible and try and sort out any problem you may have.

What is the home of the chatrooms ops room actually for ?
If a chat op see's someone in the room they will go there to investigate if someone needs help. If a chat op needs to close a room they will often go there so that they are not booted off the server they want to be in when they boot the room. Sometimes chat ops need to speak to each other so they use the room. Sometimes they need to post something so while they do it they go in there so they don't run the risk of ignoring things being said to them in a chatroom that they can't see because they are busy doing something else.
As has been said often before. If you click on the forum button and scroll down to the list of users you will see chat ops names are in mauve. If there are none there it means that at that moment in time they are not online.
