Xtasia - New Owners updates.

Just to add, we've now opened on two more nights.
Wednesday is Bi Nights. Must be bi-sexual, or at least bi-tolerant to attend.
Thurday is Fetish. BDSM, Goth, Alternative, etc. No normal street wear please.
Going to be interesting watching these two events build, we're after help, suggestions, and players, so if you can assist, please shout.

I used to love xtasia - I'm in Yorkshire but have been going to chameleons for years on the Friday night, a group of us always went to xtasia on the sat night generally the sdc nite for a change - xtasia was more dancy nightclub vibe chams isn't. It would take a great deal for me to step foot in the place now, my guy and the rest of the group all think the same. This is why: when they shut the showers I was disgusted and asked if this was permanent, I like to clean after sex with my own man never mind another swinger and i said this to the owner at the time, their response was - use a wet wipe and the tone of voice was like, tough showers are shut end of. The loft - hot, it stunk rotten, cramped and how any woman can have sex up there and not faint from heat stoke is beyond me and you were never allowed to take a drink up there. My opinion - worst playing rooms ever. No lockable rooms. You can't get 5 mins private time to lay and chillax with your own man or friends without getting hounded and I can handle myself well (been round most clubs in the uk as a single fem for 10 years and 5 years as a couple. So I am not easily intimated so if I do feel intimated it's not good and you can kinda tell the other women there at the time feel the same. No means no and to me that rule in xtasia went out of the window a long time ago and to me that is the biggest problem because it's woman who decide not men, no women no club.
The dj was never at his stand it was the same songs every time in the same order practically and many many times never knew or had the number one single in the charts at the time. When the dance floor eventually got some people up dancing and the vibe going, he would put a slow song on put the curtain down and empty a full dance floor, I mean wtf is that all about.
No lockers - we had to pay £25 deposit to use a locker, for us it would cost £60 hotel, £30 fuel, £15-20 entrance, so one week it was buy drinks or get a locker. We were regulars the club knew this and would not give a locker one week we couldn't afford it.
These are my feelings on xtasia and what i tell people when I get asked my opinion because its the truth. The best club I've been to in my opinion is without doubt fun 4 two in Amsterdam, there is nothing like it in the uk and I think every owner of uk clubs should go there then you may see what I mean. This post is not meant to offend anyone. I found not many really voice their true thoughts in fear of upsetting anyone. How can anything improve without that. I say what I really think and I am either loved or hated for it.

Going to summarise for you.
We now have lockable playrooms. All of the open downstairs lounge has been ripped out, and is now playrooms with themes in each one, and locks!
Showers are open, and we provide free towels and soaps.
Our Single Male members are being taught club etiquette and are learning not to "hound" people, or follow, or intimidate. I have no control over social list guests though, although our staff are well trained and know how to advise accordingly.
The loft is still there, but has air con now. Still no drinks as there are no shelves to put them down on, and all we get is spilt drinks, however all being ripped out at some point in the near future and replaced with another feature instead, watch this space, lol.
Lockers are being opened up this week for use. No deposits, pay for lost keys.
Lots of copying of Fun4Two which we've been to a good few times.
Only people who may be offended are the old owners, but those days are gone now, and we've moved on. We appreciate the comments. I hope at some point you'll give us another try. Lets see what the folks on the social evening think of the work so far.

I have to say that whenever we have been to xtasia we have always had a great night. We have only ever been to SH socials there though as its a fair way away and I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. The reason for this is simply because we have always been told that it just isn't busy enough on non-social nights. Also, when we have played there, the very few decent play areas are always full. I read that you have lockable rooms but I don't do lockable rooms but I also don't do those awful uncomfortable sofas!! Please tell me you've ripped them out and replaced them with something comfy and easy to play on! I'd rather get down and dirty on the dance floor than on those sofas!

At the risk of this being a review of the club, which it isn't. We go to swingers clubs in UK Europe and USA. We look for cleanleness, friendlyness and value for money, in that order. We were at Xtasia Sat 8th (we were last there @3 years ago) and it well meets all the values we look for. We have only one complaint about the club...........It's a long way from Tyneside !!

Best room to aim for if you don't do small rooms, or sofa's is the new couples room, 140sq Ft of bed, wipeable PVC, and very popular with couples.
The leather sofa's are still upstairs, mainly because we have yet to do that area, and they are wipeable and hygenic. However, you're also welcome to the dancefloor...did you know there is a Foam Party planned for the 13th October, lol

As for quiet nights, we understand totally and numbers have increased consistantly since we took over and started to do the rooms etc. Its nice to start getting the old buzz back. Come and try us again when you can.

To be honest I've heard so many people complain about the sofas that I'm guessing most people will head to this mahoosive bed! In my opinion, the sofas just take up valuable space and make it unusable!

We are listening. When we did a survey of all the reviews we could find on the club, on all web sites, the sofa's were never mentioned once. What was mentioned lots, was the lack of private rooms, which we quickly addressed. Now, having put rooms in, we're hearing the comment, we preffered the big open space and sofa's, lol. You lot are so hard to please :boxing:
The top lounge area is still there, and still popular for play, so we're monitoring things currently. Best bet is to get yourselves down, have a look, and give us feedback, however we can only do one thing or another.
Examples:
Its too bright, Its too dark.
Want club tunes, want 70's rock.
Too hot, too cold.
Too many singles, too few guys.
Anyone want a PR job??

The let down for me is that I didn't even notice the mirrors so could easily have gone into a private room without realising people can watch. Private means private to me so as yet, I'm still waiting to see the other changes

We're hoping you had the tour, where we describe each room one by one. The first room, the yellow one, was described to all as "Private". The others are all described as "Lockable" but deffiantely not private as the mirrors are also normally pointed out as being really entertaining for the exhibionists and voyeurs out there. Yellow room however is totally private. If you actually use one by mistake, trust me, you realise the second you go in one and lie back!!! :twisted:

As a single fem I stopped attending Xtasia due to the 'pack hound' mentality of the single guys who attended.
I've only been once in the last 2 years and that was a SH social, (thanks Bambi it was great fun) but the regular single guys were still a nuisance.
It sounds like you've made some great changes and time I revisited, Wednesday night sounds like a great option, so keep an eye out for me!!

lol, we refuse to be highjacked.
Just about to close off the loft area for the second part of our club revamp. Since opening all the downstairs playrooms, the loft has become rather irrelivant, so time for a change. Will advise when open again, and what we've done with it... lol

It should appeal to a few of you!!

Are you adding an extra 6"?? Coz 6" makes all the difference you know :lol: (especially when you're 5'6"+ and you keep banging your head!! :happy:

May we respectfully point out that the centre of the aisle in the loft is 6ft 1 inch high. To get to 5ft 6" you need to deviate 1 foot 4 inches either side of the centre line, thats a 2 foot 8" meander to "keep banging your head".
At least we all now know how pissed you are!! XX drinkies

The loft is now open, not quite finished but close enough for eveyone to get the idea of what we're trying to create. Come and see what you think. Please don't give it away on forum though, I know a few of you have been peeking, lol.
