Ballad of the Dark Heart
The dark heart keeps his silent watch
With patience born from knowing
That all will come to he who waits
As the sands of time keep flowing
The mark is made, the wait begins
The hands so slowly creep
Around the dark hearts face of glass
From in the shadows deep
Then through the blanket of the clouds
Rend moonlight fingers bright
And the dark heart beats faster
In the blackness of the night
The chance that comes unbidden
Brings fear and dread delight
The dark heart in rapture
Thanks the unforgiving light
The now is here, will soon be gone
The time for action’s come
The dark heart moves swiftly
Cursing limbs both cold and numb
With practised stealth the dark heart flies
From cover safe and deep
The coiled spring set free at last
His just reward to reap
Sight long accustomed to the dim
Searches out the quarry near
The lunar rays shine bright and true
And bring the dark heart cheer
With icy chill upon his cheek
The dark heart strives to hear
The long awaited sounds within
That invitation clear
Objective lain before him now
Regardless of the chill
He is warmed now as with his eyes
The dark heart drinks his fill

You really have spent numerous days / weeks / months sitting thinking this trough haven't you! We liked it though as it conjured up many an exciting nights activity for us. Have to be honest here and say that couples run the entire emotional spectrum too. wink
You don't say if you are likely to be in a car park near me though sad
