Advice needed

Tonight for the first time I ventured to a well know site in Scotland just to see what the dogging thing is all about.
To be honest I did not expect any cars to be there (around ) but there were two parked side by side. I parked a dozen or so yards away from them. In fact I was not sure if the cars were occupied.
This is where I got confused (lost my bottle?) I switched my lights off and sat for around five minutes when the car nearest me interior light came on,it was definatly occupied,I could see a couple in the back seats.
The windows were steamed up tho and I could not get a good light stayed on for about 20-30 secs then went off.
What should I have done next? I put my interior light on a couple of times but never left the car for fear I got a mouthful.
Did I do the right thing? or was the fact that the two cars were parked side by side mean that they were already adequatly dogged?
I am not even sure the second car was occupied it may have been one of the couples and it may be where they meet?
I will definatly go back (hopefully persuade my partner) so any advice /opinions would be helpfull as I dont want to offend.

mongoose,thanks for your does anyone dogg,in scotland,with all those poxy midges?what are those things,flies in armour or something,bastard things.....ok,your possibilities,including affairs,pranks and drug deals,but,in my opinion,the likely scenario would have been a torchlight show,the interior light being your invite...there are loads of warnings on the forums regarding perils,common sense stuff,worth remembering,but,in my limited experience,its a fairly safe pastime,well,compared to some of the things i've done!good luck.

Thanx dirty doggers,seems tho I may have missed out on some action then!
Thinking about it if I was unwanted the occupants wouldnt catch me as their kecks would have been round their ankles!!
Should I carry a torch with me then?
And as far as midges go even they find it to cold at this time of year

carry a torch by all means,but dont shine it into the car!!what i meant was,many couples like to play with subdued lighting,rather than full on interior is less likely to show up the pimples on their bottoms,and doesn't obliterate their night only a guess,but had you approached,the guy may have been shining a mini maglite or something on his partner. ....tip for showing do a filter pack for their torches,the red one is great for complimenting skin tone,and doesn't ruin your might vision!

theres nothing quite like being blinded by a torch to increase the libido (except perhaps full beam headlights
