Being Arrested

Hi all, I just wanted to ask a question because I've noticed that many people seem concerned about a police presence at dogging locations. Has anyone on here actually been arrested for dogging or whatever the associated offence is?
I haven't been dogging yet and would love to go if only I knew where, but the police are the least of my concerns. Am I misguided here?
lol
you can be arrested for dogging though it would come under public decency i think? Public decency is not an arrestable offence in itself however a police officers general powers of arrest are as follows:- A constable may arrest anyone whom they have reasonable grounds to suspect is commiting or has committed an offence that is not an arrestable offence provided...
service of summons is impracticable because any of the general conditions exist.
Section 25 provides that a summons will be impracticable where the suspect has failed to furnish a satisfactory address or the officer has reasonable grounds for doubting whether the address given is satisfactory for the service of a summons.
There is more but its too detailed. I may not be entirely correct but its something like that.
Yeah, I understand that you can be arrested. I was just asking if anyone actually has been arrested? It's just that if it turns out that no one has or it's very rare then that must mean that any police presence is not really a problem.
me and the wife did when we went camping......... we were charged with fucking within tent lol

Now that is funny.
Its at the descretion of the police officer and most of the police officers I know wouldn't arrest someone for it as its too time consuming with all the real criminals. Most of the officers I know just pull doggers up because they find it funny to see the person blush. Childish I know.
There was a case around 2 or 3 months ago here in Dorset where a couple and the two guys dogging them were arrested and charged with public order offences.
They were on Studland beach in the dunes and for some unknown reason, the doggers didn't realise that the two guys walking firmly towards them in knee length black shorts and white shirts, were police officers
Since everyone else in the area was either naked or very nearly so, I would have thought the police officers stood out like a sore thumb rolleyes
They were taken to court and each fined in the region of £500 plus costs IIRC, so it can and does happen.
That said, the amount of dogging that goes on, compared to the number of arrests in connection with it, are poles apart
We have been given a lecture by the Police whilst we've been out, but since they didn't actually *see* us doing anything, that was it as as far a they were concerned. Moral lecture, told to move on and that's about it
We also know a guy who dogs around our area who had problems with Police whilst out dogging - they gave him a 24 hour *producer* because he was hanging around a known dogging spot, but he wasn't charged with anything, so this was merely an opportunity by the Police, to cause him a little inconvenience confused
All in all, as long as you act sensibly, I'm sure the chances of arrest are extremely slim wink

Powers of arrest without a warrant are governed by the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 as amended, and can be grouped into the following categories:
• Arrest at common law for breach of the peace.
• Summary arrest for an 'arrestable offence'.
• Arrest subject to conditions.
• Arrest under specific powers.
• Arrest for the purpose of fingerprinting.
• Arrest for failure to answer police bail.
• Arrest to have a sample taken.
• Arrest of a young person for breaking conditions of remand.
Now, since the sexual offences act of may this year, a whole new load of sexual offences exist which WERE public order offences last year, but are now serious sexual offences.
For instance, voyeurism.
Last year, laughable.
This year, serious (on conviction) with several years on the sex offenders register if convicted.
Last year, indecent exposure. This year "exposure", with the same sex offenders register.
Take it easy. Too many people start by insulting the law. This is frequently a bad mistake.
Mostly, they're out to prevent a breach of the peace....whoever causes it. If you start shouting at them, it's you. And it's arrestable.
