I'd really like to get into the Dogging scene but I'm totally inexperienced - bordering on the naive. I'm not at all sure what to do and I don't want to spoil anyone else's fun by my own blundering incompetence, so any tips and advice, particularly do's and dont's will be most appreciated.
I'd really like advice as to the best times to see Doggers about? I know it's a personal thing and we are all individuals with our own preferences, but there must be times when there are likely to be more people about surely? Now that the darker evenings are coming will there be more of you about or less? Is it better late at night (say after the pubs have closed), or earlier? Mid week or weekends? Daytime maybe?
Sorry to sound so inquisitive, but I really don't know. I've been to some of the more well known spots in the Midlands, Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, but I've seen absolutely nothing. No one. I know it's a waiting game and nothing is guaranteed and that I can't expect to see people every time I go, but I've never seen anyone. Surely I can't be that unlucky or be the first to turn up or arrive after everyone's gone every time!
I expect to have quiet nights, and I'll still go and wait, buy any advice on improving the odds of others actually being there will be most appreciated. Failing that, I'll just have to stay at home with a video!
A would be voyeur.
... when a couple pulls in, drops the seats and 5 mins later the interior light goes on!!
The answer is:
"Que Sera Sera", or 'whatever will be will be'
Just have to wait, wait and wait some more and you just never know!!
Works for me anyway..
I'd still like to know if couples prefer late evening, early evening, late afternoon or even Lunchtime!
Often at Newbold lunchtime if anyone interested.

I suspect that the well known sites are quiet simply because they are well known as they probably do get the odd passing visit by the Police and also those boy racer types who think that flashing lights and generally being a nuisance is some form of fun. I think the internet has probably meant that those in the know and I am not one of them have found other locations and are keeping them quiet. It would be interesting to know how dogging developed in the days before the internet. Was it a case of lovers lanes and laybys that have existed for years transforming into something else due to some couples being turned on by watchers? Was it the sexual revolution of the 60's and 70's?
I can't offer any answers to your questions I am afraid - they are the kind of questions that most would be watchers and would be participators would like the answers to - I just don't think you are going to get them here.
100% agree with the above, and anytime is the best time.

Yorks Guy,
I know what you mean I am new to dogging as well and have been out-n-about in the home counties. So far no luck I either haven't got the time right or when I get to a known dogging location unless you are good at telepathy there is no way of knowing how to contact others so you can join in. I know all about flashing lights etc but you still don't know if you are allowed to approach and or join in. Personally I think hetro-sexual dogging is an internet myth and doesn't actually go on. If there are any experienced doggers reading this who can prove me wrong please do.

Dogging is very much a waiting game. Especially for a single guy. You should expect to not get lucky at least 90% of the time. Even for a couple it is still hit and miss and we very rarely happen across other couples but know they still exist from various conversations while out. We have been out numerous times and never seen anyone else and ended up having great outdoor fun on our own - which is what we personally enjoy - the outdoor sex. There is no such thing as the right or wrong time. We go out when the mood takes us at whatever time that is whether it is dusk or after midnight or even daytime in the right location. We personally dont ever arrange to meet as that takes away the anticipation, spur of the moment, and introduces a stressful element for LadyUpNorth. Personally we dont let the cold weather put us off and have enjoyed quite a few nights out in the frost and snow although we dont see the point in going out when its pouring with rain. Think of it as a myth if you like. It is the patient respectful guys that end up being the lucky ones. Our most usual time - for no other reason than that of personal circumstance is after 11pm as a start time and out to anything up to 2 or 3 am. Others are obviously different - maybe having to be back home for babysitters etc or work the following day. Simply - every one is different, can get out on different days and different times. Ultimately those couples that go out do so for their own pleasure and not the pleasure of those that they allow to watch or join and arent going to be there just because you happen to be.
Also - those that constantly drive around, into one site and onto the next are very seldom going to get lucky. If there was something happening - them driving into the site will have stopped it for that moment and may not restart until they are sure who you are, if it all. If you are parked waiting when the couple arrives - they have a fair idea what you are there for.
As for signals - yes occassionally a flash of lights - either brake or interior - but often a partly opened window is all the signal I give. And it stops the windows steaming up !
So It's not a myth then Pete? Perhaps we may get lucky too one of these days. LOL

Pete,
Thank you for the response much appreciated. I have been out looking for sometime now and do take it slowly and try to stick to just one site. I was out the other day parked up a discreet distance from a couple. I waited quite awhile and eventually the interior light went on. I took this as a sign and began moving slowly and cautiously towards the vehicle. As I was watching and getting closer another car drove in parked right next them which promptly scared them off. Within moments they had packed up and left. Othertimes at the same site I have been sitting on my own waiting a car pulls in does a quick circuit then goes again.
I think you are right and I need to continue being patient and eventually I will discover the joys of dogging. provided I can work out these darn signals!
Bit of a bugger - a car pulling alongside. That would send us heading to the exits too. We much prefer someone taking the short "casual" stroll. Thats the most awkward moment in dogging - the "do they know I am here and walking over?" , "do they want to be watched?" but when it happens and is successful - well worth the trepidation.
Too many cars can be off putting. We tend to draw the limit at two other cars. Very occassionally three, but any more than that is too uncomfortable.
Thanks Pete I am sure you can imagine mt disapointment. Oh well have to keep trying but things do seem to be abit boring down south. Nice to talk with you thanks.
I used to be a regular dogger all the way through the 90s and early 2000s and had same great times at some well known and not so well known sites. I know stick to the clubs as both a single and as part of a couple.
Without pointing fingers, the same behaviour is now starting to seep into the clubs on singles nights as i used to see at the dogging sites. That is:-
"i've paid my money/arrived at the site thefore i am entitled to a show/shag or bj"
Sorry if it sounds harsh but that's how i see it. I regularly used to get asked "what is the best night", "which couples are good".
The respect and behaviour has now gone. In the latter years i used to watch 3-4 blokes park close up to a car that had a perfectly normal couple in walking gear sat it it, when they got out, the guys followed. It was obvious to a blind baboon that they were not doggers and sure enough the police were called. It's happened to me and my family in broad daylight when we had my baby daughter in teh car with us one afternoon. I took the car numbers and reported them.
It's this selfish behaviour by a few that has put a spolier on it for the rest.
We have ourselves to blame.
I hope it comes back one day i loved it, summer night, a great show, nice bunch of people.
Can't see it though.
