Blidworth Warning

We went to Blidworth on Saturday night ( ) for the first time for about four months and was shocked at the number of “Boy Racers” that was there. We have not been frequent visitors for a while, and tend to go every 4/5 months or so. After being sat in one of the two remaining open car parks for a few minutes, it soon became obvious that the number of young people who was there outnumbered the doggers. In fact we counted about 4 or 5 genuine guys in cars, compared to 9 or 10 cars where some were full of young people, some of whom had torches. It occurred to us that maybe with the current credit crisis, that the local young people cannot afford to drink in pubs and see the car parks as areas to congregate with their friends !!
In the past there was the odd car or two of Boy Racers, but certainly Saturday there were in the majority. We felt uneasy as they screeched in and out of the car parks and thought that it is only a matter of time before the remaining car parks get closed. Needless to say it was impossible to get talking to anyone so we left.
In the future we will now arrange outdoor meets with guys, even though this takes the spontaneity from it, at least it will be safer.

Know exactly what you mean - stopped going there last year as nearly had my car wipe dout whilst it was parked up by some young racer trying a handbrake turn!!
If you ever plan anything anywhere give me a shout as always looking for the thrill without the idiots though!!

Such a shame, I've had lots of fun at Blidworth in the past, although last time I went the guys were a bit shy, but it's a good site! Hope the boy racers go away soon!

you should try the xxxxxxxxxx car park,xxxxxxxxxxx???
lots of pot holes, so the Boyracers keep out, may get their corsa dirty.

hi i was going to blidworh with my truck n the boy racer's couldn't do hand brake turns cos y truck was in the way but had loads of fun there got to meet all the dogger's who go there met some very nice cupls over the yr's but not been for 5-6 months cos the police moved us on n its a shame cos it stopped the little boys in there hair dryers pissin about gonna try again some time but if your intrested in some fun in a truck just give me shout im on here most night... jackob

Try xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx car park full of pot holes to keep the boy racers out.

We've been going up here for about 2yrs now & there are always kids in cars about!!!!
Yes saturday night there was a few but you have to wait them out in a quieter carpark they go eventually...
We have been all over to other dogging sites & we always seem to gravitate back to this site!!!
If last years antics were anything to go by we're lookink forward to this year!!!!!!!!!

Like i said in the original post we have been to Blidworth for many years, every few months or so. But last Saturday just seemed to be full of boy racers !!!
What thrill they get out of annoying everybody is beyond me.
Thanks for the PM's about alternative venues, we'll give them a try.
