Driving down the back roads from Belmont to Bolton the other night at -6, was flagged down by a guy and a girl in a car claiming they needed a 'bump start'.
Was suspicious as to why car would break down where is with a flat battery when the radio was on.
I told them I had no jump leads and that I would call someone to assist (I was going to call the police as it was so cold and concerned if they were genuinely broke down they would freeze to death and didnt want to be responsible).
Anyway drove 200 yards up the road and pulled over to call police to them only to see the car drive off, I turned and followed as they drove into Bolton town centre with main beam on most of the way.. Flat Battery Hmmmmm
BE CAREFUL, it is good to help but you just never know..
