the chav thing is just the modernisation of juvenile thuggery
really the way the prowl about in packs worrying the old and young alike something needs to be done

I think chavs get generalised far too much. The real chavs only exist in essex, or up north in liverpool, manchester, edinburgh and all the other major cities.
Everywhere else is just full of young people trying to be like the real chavs. Where I am, in north London, the wannabe culture is very much thriving. I should know - I was one of them redface

. Thankfully I grew out of it, got some clothes that fit me properly, learnt how to speak english, got an education and now I'm trying to make something of myself lol

Chavs are nothing special. It's just a social class. My dad's forever telling me about the social classes in his day. The "mods" or something. I dunno, I just laugh at him when I think he was a hippy.
Getting back to the point now, don't you think killing chavs is a bit harsh? :lol:

The latest edition of the Collins English Dictionary has been published, including 1,500 new words reflecting recent changes in language and culture.
Among the new words is "chav" - defined as "a young working class person who dresses in casual sports clothing".
Elaborating on the theme, the tome also includes "chavette" - a female chav - and the adjectives "chavish" and "chavtastic" - designed for or suitable for chavs.
The chav's equivalents from Ireland - "skanger", Scotland - "ned" and East Anglia - "yarco", also get a mention.
