For us it is purely the thrill of being watched. We have never had anyone join in and would not want to, the idea of having sex with complete strangers is just not for us. However Sally will on occasion help one or two well behaved guys out.
What puzzles us is in the years we have been doing this we have never yet encountered another couple happy to watch and be watched unless by prior arrangement. We see them obviously in other cars, but when we pull up close and put our courtesy light on they never reciprocate. As someone says in another thread: probably just us!

i think all that ettiquette about turning interior light on / off etc has gone outa the window, when we pull up and they see theres a female in car you get the 1 brave guy cum up to you then you get "swamped" by everyone else.

It's a shame about the ettiquette with the interior light. I think it makes things more difficult for everyone else, as not everyone can be completely sure whos in the other cars. They have been quite a few uncover cops around my local dogging circuit, so one can never be to careful!
As for the reason i do dogging, well i just find it purely more exciting then swinging. You never know who is going to be out, if your going to be swamped by single men, or you find a cpl, or you see a football player from your local team. They is a lot of choice to be had, and you never have to arrange anything. Plus i love people watching.

Yep, pity about the lack of the interior "flash", at least you knew the car wasn't full of hooded assholes or the inevitable 3/4 guys who've done the pub and want to "empty their sacks"
On the other hand, there are now couples about who don't know what they want, if anything, and cannot be bothered to just wind the window down an inch and let one of the wanderers know....

i'd imagine chaotic's point was more to do with the doggers, as in the single guys, showing their colours with the interior? i'd be inclined to agree, it does make things less of a concearn, especially now, as has been mentioned, where increasingly cars are two, three or four up..if the guys don't show themselves, we'll sometimes sweep them with our headlights
