Just a little word of warning about anyone who frequents a certain beach sometimes used for dogging in the North West.
A friend of ours went last night and as he drove onto the beach he saw that a car had sunk in the sand. The RAC and loads of other guys were trying to get it out! He said the car was only about 20 foot away from the entrance to the beach and had not drove out towards the water!
So if any of you are thinking of going to this place make sure you have plenty of money on you as you may be coming home by Taxi!
And please, if you do want to comment on this, DO NOT MENTION THE NAME OF THE BEACH!
Oh dear!!!
Could be mighty embarassing explaining what you were doing there to the insurance company (and the RAC man come to think of it)
Harry Jones
Im sure if it had been you NWC you would have found an alternative method of payment to the RAC man( or are you all talk he he )
Ive still got white bits so youll have a good target to aim at ( you would even without the white bits) all post, talk, post, talk post,talk........ see you soon NWC
Mid week at Partners or are you going to bottle it, talk, talk, post, talk........you can bring Brian and Dave and mandy if youve got the bottle
We have been stuck in the sand on this beach but only when we first started to go there.
You do learn to spot the danger signs and it is easy to avoid the soft sand. The sand that causes the problems most of the time is when there has been a lot of wind and it drifts.
We found that in the good old days of the doggers when locations weren't that well known every one looked out for each other. This was also this case when someone got stuck in the sand, all hands to the pump as it were.
They have beaches that far north ! ? LOL Please furnish us the info as we love to hang our bits out in the summer days ( both of them ).
But is it a nice beach ? and can we get nekkid there when the suns out ?? :-)
Its a very nice beach, but I never mentioned having any sun! Thats one thing we dont have a lot of in the North West! We got rain, wind, snow, more rain, but no sun!
I understand that the sand dunes are used for dogging and for taking pics but it is very near to a holiday camp so when the weather is nice, the kids are about!
There is another beach a few miles down the road from this one, a bit more seculded but I understand that police are visiting all the beaches in that area at the moment! They are probably looking for spare parts for their cars!
Nemind , we were getting excited and just about to negotiate a free bed at yours in the summer for some sun bathing LOL.
