Thankyou for your comments.
If you read the piece above in full, you will note that mobile companies are required to store the data.
The same way that your ISP is required to store your movements on the internet, even though you use another screename it is still logged against your master screename.
By the way, the reason they called me on the phone is because the payg phone was not registered to any name....just like the one I carry with me now, another payg with no name. The previous one now resides in the municipal dump.
So now I have a contract phone, and a payg anonymous phone.
O.K. fine, It has been afun dicussion, but let me ask one thing, if you believe what you believe, then the logical conclusion would be don't ever turn on a mobile phone. Because if someone is near me I don't want to be bothered?
You are missing the point, to track a mobile phone is easy. Let me repeat that before you cut and paste again. To track a mobile phone is easy.
But what mobile are we going to track?
One which was at this location at this time.
Ok erm and how do we do that then,
erm well Jomu says all mobile phone operators know, given a location which mobile phone were there.
Really?
Yes to the nearest 100 metres!
So what your saying is that on our database, we don't just store every users call records, locations and details (true). We actually stoe every100metre squared area of england and record who is there and when (false).
Well Jomu said so!
well, frankly i'm speechless.........it all sounds a bit george orwell-esque to me. mind you sitting in a dark carpark late at night , toothing like mad...sounds a bit kinky to me..lol
I'm not arguing to much more over this.
The police, at the soham murders, had access to mobile companies records of every mobile operating in that area, on the day the girls disappeared.
I care not what you say, since your agenda on here seems dubious in the extreme.
As to the range, in the open it's about 10 metres....but in a metal clad building it can be in excess of 50 metres....I've exchanged video files between a nokia 6600 and my V600 at that range...in the works building..I've also seen the DJs' get bombarded with lewd tooth messages from the girls in a large n'club in MK...at ranges in excess of the 10 metres given.
I also know, from experience, that the DTI radio monitoring service uses info from the service providers to obtain the location of pirate radio studios....many use a "phone-in" on mobiles...the transmitters are miles away from the studio, and m/wave links carry the program from the studio to the transmitter site...but the fools use mobile live and on-air...fatal.
Just out of interest, I believe that all mobile calls are intercepted by Menwith hill anyway, scanned (by voice recognition) for keywords and recorded, e-mails too are all intercepted and scanned. Any information pertaining to supply of drugs etc that is gleaned from these calls or e-mails (and indeed fax communications) are passed to NCIS who would review them and inform local police if necessary. If they wanted to scan for the word 'dogging' it would not take them long to build up a profile of your habits.
and thats also why i dont buy king size rizlas from tescos using my clubcard lol.
I manage perfectly well in life without a mobile phone, whats all the fuss about? Maybe Im just a conspiracy theorist.
Orph
