I was tempted by my first driving to a well known dogging location tonight but...
i wimped out! I drove past and there were a few cars there in a car park in the middle of no where. I was just wondering what happens after i drive in as i guess it could be pretty scary!

Few questions about dogging
park up and turn lights off...and wait there with all the other guys....then after a couple of hours of nothing..turn lights on....start engine and go home !!! Well thats what i do !!
If lucky might even see a little rabbit jumping around..and from time to time if really lucky the odd deer comes and has a laugh at you !!

It can be scary at first, I used to drive in with all my doors locked and the window open half an inch. Remember to set your interior light to off so when you jump out for a pee after two hours of waiting noone sees you. Just turn off all lights and observe, in time you will feel comfortable about getting out. Just remember not to jump out and charge across to a car that seems to be giving the right signals only to found out its a load of youths who start giving verbal but that has only happened twice to me in a year and with time you can suss out who is youths and who are safe (mobiles glowing is a giveaway).
The only time I have really been scared since was in a dogging spot, about one mile from the nearest man made light source, all large trees, absolutely pitch black, scary shadows etc, the only time I got out was to pee and I turned my headlights on so I could see

Hi -
i thought that was a great question to ask and one i have been trying to answer - or get answered - for a while now. Like you i find it a bit intimidating and have only got out once - places i go are always full of cars with blokes in. What exactly am i looking for and how will i know when i find it?

You forgot to mention one thing Harry,make sure a couple you have pre-arranged meet with are,nt parked nearly next to you.
If it's a layby, drive in the way everyone else doesn't.....that way you get to see who's in what without getting too unpopular...don't use high beam...
If it's a carpark, drive in slowly and check the cars out...if there are any with two or more guys in hanging about, park-up and get out and pretend to have a pee....then go...
If the carpark/layby/nature reserve etc has a few motors in...look for guys sauntering slowly away from a car....then park near that one...not too close, and wait a bit for them to hurry back...if they do...do the same.
When waiting, park close to the way in but so you can see the BACK of any car entering....check out the passenger seat as it passes (you need to get the headlights in the right place for this....so have a few dry-runs and then mark the place for future ref....)
Put all your valuable in the boot, or better still, don't take any.
If you get out for a wander...DON'T set the alarm....that flashes the lights and tells the world "HIYA, THERE'S A DUMBO WANDERING ABOUT"
After you've turned the interior light off (or take the bulb out if you cannot) don't bother locking the car....it saves time if you need to get to cover quick...and don't ever slam the door...same reason as before, except this time anyone looking for you won't get the sound to home in on.
Get used to sleeping in a car....it's a good excuse if the bill come in, and it also means you can stay out longer....since you need less sleep at home....for this you need to arrange the car so that incoming cars wake you up with their lights.....or arrange the wing mirror to do the same....you get used to it quickly....
After you've been parked for a few minutes, your eyes will adapt...you'll see anyone wandering about ....
This game is an acquired art....get used to strange guys peering in the car....if you are really scared, go home...or have radio 1 on...a bit loud...all the guys will assume it's kids...
Above all, remember: It's all about FUN....(GIGGLE)
