Ziks, i would advise that you vet people first prior to giving them locations as a venue can fill up very quickly with the wrong type of watchers.

What he meant though, in how do you vet people, is that even checking peoples posts might not be enough. You can never really tell what someone is like until you meet them. Someone who comes across as ok in their posts might be a total tosser (and not in a GOOD way) when you actually meet them. I guess sometimes you just have to take a chance. We've always been lucky so far, but have no illusions that we will always be so lucky.

I think that the munches are a good idea, but not something we would be able to attend. We just take a chance on people, and I have to say it's less worrying now that it used to be, probably because we know there will always be a few 'regulars' along when we go out and I'm sure that if we did have a problem they would quickly step in to give us support.

Have to ask you why you think you would not be able to attend, it's just a social so nothing is offered or expected.
