I didn't see all the Sun piccies as I work hard for my pennies and I've got better things to spend them on. However, I did see the one on the front page.
Yes.... Car park at night. Battered Fiesta. Door opened and Stan, with his back to photographer, stands inside the open door. Flash photograph - well focused and framed.
A) Given he knows who he is, and that if this is a genuine thing with him it'll cause massive press interest, would he really be so foolish as to stand inside an OPEN CAR DOOR?
B) Even with a zoom lens, the photographer had to take time to frame the shot and that would mean making a noise.
C) Given who he is, would he really stand with his back to a noise approaching from the rear?
You make your own mind up - I already have.

Its a tough one Heather. I can see your reasoning and in many ways, I agree with it. On the other hand, what lengths would he go through to get a bit of publicity and hurt his wife in the process?
Its an odd one and perhaps none of us will ever find out the truth, but hey, it does make for interesting reading, dont it?

Well as they say there is good publicity and there's bad publicity. Unfortunately on this occasion I can only see bad publicity for all affected parties.
Stan Collymore has rarely courted a good days publicity. From beating up the lovely Ulrika to failing to honour his committments(allegedly) at footbal clubs he has earnt himself a reputation for less than honourable conduct. The last thing he (or we) would want is for him to be associated with what most of the(myopic) public would see as an unsavoury and licentious has been rebuilding his career in TV and Radio commentary...I wonder how secure his future will be BBC will not look kindly on areas where their already tarnished reputation could be further misaligned.
Now doubt there will now be renewed efforts by the the authorities to stamp out the outdoor fun as they have crime totaly under control now and can spare the resource to sweep the sites.
I am never going to lose my dogging virginity am I. I think I'll take up Bonsai instead.

What possible motivation would the man have for wanting to promote himself as a dogger!? Dont you think the tabloid publicity conspiracy theory here has gotten a little out of hand. It isnt as if Stan couldnt raise some publicity without that kind of family grief and upheaval . Hes a dogging addict , and im sure many of the members here who have spent an entire evening sitting in a freezing cold car waiting for nowt will relate to that , even if they wont admit it .

Photo with a normal cam with quite a fast emulsion methinks.
Taken with available light and no flash (reflective plates...but no whiteout)
My image intensifier sees quite well with side lights up to about 100 metres...I have to use the pulsed i/r leds with no sides !!
Plus, you can film quite happily in mono with a sony nightshot and a half decent i/r source.
Not really a problem, at up to about 100 metres the nightshot is fine with a standard filtered torch, the intensifier uses a 5mw i/r laser for perfect vision in total black.
It's all down to the technology....if you want to be covert then flash ain't flash....face it Heather, as far as the press are concerned if they want to photo you and not be seen, they can afford the gear.

so i presume that stan was stitched up by a genuine dogging couple, as it was worded as a sting so they were setting him up, how did they know it was him? someone must have told them, i thought genuine doggers believe in confidentiality, or does that go out the window if your a well known face? probably im paranoid
