Hello all,
Long been a viewer of the forum and time for me to dive in ! Great site and major kudos to Mark and all for keeping it run very well and for the most part for everyone keeping it friendly too (Doesnt happen that often on the net !!! lol )
I have spent the last week looking around the Maidstone area at the locations listed , mostly at the location in Aylesford (I noticed in the rules about not mentioning actual locations so i hope this is sort of vague enough but think everyone knows the one i mean)
I have seen conflicting reports all over the place about it,some saying its getting back up to speed, some saying its dead, some saying its mainly gay now etc (Im Hetro so that doesnt interest me,but everyone has a right to fun!) . I havent been there during the day but been heading in late evening as well as early hours even until 5am but not even another car to be seen most times . Did notice though the boys in blue flying around on the main road a fair amount so could be the reason why !
Just wondering if anyone can update me on the situation at the moment . Or if there are other fellow doggers in the Maidstone/Medway area id love to hear from you either by message on here or email so we can swap info and up to date venues . Always happy to hear from anyone
Well stay safe all and have fun and hope to get to know everyone a little better very soon.
Cheers,
Steve
Hi - we are in Kent, near T Wells, Tonbridge,. Found a small car park in Pembury an RSPB site - been a couple of times - and had fun. If you want more infor please get in touch.

Hi MedwaySteve, welcome to the site, really hope you have fun.
We visit Maidstone a couple of times a year and have always managed to find some great sites just by driving round. Is the big layby still used? (wont mention the name on here but sure you know which I mean) I heard it was due to be closed?
Sorry I can give you any help on sites in your area as I dont know the name of them, we just found them by chance!
Good luck and have fun.

If you are talking about the one near the family resaurant/fast food outlet, then I wouldn't go there if I was you. Under close observation by the boys in blue...
Would love to hear of other places in that area though. Although I'm in Kent I don't know that area too well - more an side person...

Hi N & H,
Id heard about that place from someone else i know but didnt know how active it was . Sadly due to certain circumstances i cant travel to far from where i am so maidstone is ideal . However things should change soon so im always open to good kent venues and always happy to stay in touch with people that use them as i think in the growing climate of boy racers and intimidation they are giving people then its always good to have some friends on hand smile
Many thanks,
Steve

Hi NWC,
Thanks for your reply and kind welcome to a forum newbie !!! lol
The one i think you mean is all but dead now , if it hasnt been closed already its very soon to be . Think there was alot of complaints from lorry drivers (Geez you would have thought they would have used it instead of reported it!!! :P ) and locals about it,which is a shame as it did get fairly active ! Im thinking once the weathers better of trying the one on sheppey as i know its well out of the way....and on the beach too which is a nice bonus! If ever your down this way let me know and i can give you good directions as the ones on the sites i have seen are a bit confusing when its actually very very easy to find !
Thanks again and good luck,
Steve

Now that will teach me to reply before i have read all the threads ! lol
Yep i think thats the venue in question,or at least the same one im thinking of...not giving it away but i think the food place is related to a small cook ? If so were on the same wavelength.
I only know a couple of venues in the north but happy to pass them on,however they arent places i would go on a spur of the moment thing, best left when you know theres going to be people there as it may end up a long wasted journey.
Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Seems that you have plenty of replies about "the layby" all of ring true with what we know.
The site that you mention near Maidstone is now a shadow of its former self, what with the camera, tree's and bushes trimmed back, regular police patrols, boy racers etc etc butttt there is still some activity there, just a case of persevering! lol.
Anyway, best of luck.

Hi All
The Layby is a definately out now, still open but all the trees have been trimmed and the police are fond of raiding it by blocking entrance and exit and using 6 cars to swamp the place. we drove into the layby just as they were springing the bust. ( got away with it htough.
The well known site near the timber yard is under close survielance although the camera has been there for over 2 years now. Last time we visited it was deserted. One year previously it was heaving with guys so the regular hourly visits by the police seem to have worked.
Regarding the beach area you will have to be very careful with daytime fun as we have been approached by police twice last year asking if we had been exposed to unwanted attention. Just as well they didnt ask about the wanted attention lol

Hi Mark and Sue,
Yeah noticed things had been cut back but i didnt even notice the camera !!!! You have probably ruined my chances now as ill park up and spend all my time looking for the camera and miss any int lights being flashed! lol wink
Seen a few boy racers there saturday night stocked up with hamburgers and elizabeth duke gold chains round near the food hut but i just drove on my way out down the middle section and didnt get any real abuse but i can see them outnumbering us these days
Again not trying to give a location away so ill be semi vague but i always wondered why the nearby golf course car park was never used for late night fun as its well away from residential areas , secluded from the main road and wouldnt cause traffic problems . Its a public course but im wondering if the boys in blue would classify it as private land . Maybe one to think about for the future ?
All the best,
Steve

Hi Jackie and Ben,
Its one of those venues i would have thought would be a no go for daytime fun,but last year went over a few times during the summer between 10pm-2am at a results really but even when it was dead it was nice to sit on the beach !!!! smile
However i remember the field just as you got on to the track used to be a boy racer area for a long time but havent seen many venture all the way to the venue , and no reports so far of trouble although with the width of the track it could be a place to possibly get blocked into so i guess its back to common sense and just if you see the boy racers about just take good care.
All the best,
Steve
Hi Steve and all
Just to add my four penneth about the Maidstone site. Have been going again recently at different times and not found any police activity (maybe I'm just lucky).
The camera is over one side so stay in middle or far side to cafe. And of course with spring the leaves grow and more natural cover is available.
So saying though have not seen many couples recently, maybe it's still a tadd on the cold side.
TQ

Cheers TQ , you have just saved me many hours of hiding in bushes looking for cams instead of couples !!!! lol
Think your right , in my experience theres far more activity when the weather is warmer , also i noticed the car park is now very well potholed which is a pain when you have just washed the car and end up driving through muddy reservoirs!!!!
Thanks again,
Steve
By the sound of things the old favourites in and around Maidstone are pretty much no go areas now. I know a place near Ashford that is perfect for dogging activity, day or night. It is a large car park, split into 3, in the middle of nowhere. It has pathways leading off into the surrounding woods which offer a bit of privacy fr those who want it. It isn't a boy racer hang out and the police never patrol it.
For some strange reason it isn't used regularly at the moment, but, I really think it should be. So, if there are any couples out there who would like to meet at a discreet venue with no chance of things being ruined by boy racers or the police just PM me for details. Hopefully we can get this site up and running.
All the best
Mike
