If it's the place i am thinking of then i agree, over the last 6 months it has rapidly gone downhill............

 You let them follow you HOME??!
Being followed has happened to most of us at some point, but if you know you are being followed, you should NEVER go to your home with them still behind you!
If it happens again, pull into an all night service station and wait there, a late night supermarket or simply drive to an area you know will have other people about, maybe a pub or club or takeaway. A Police station will be even better wink
You will find the followers don't hang around if you do that.
Wait until they have gone and THEN go home, but make sure they are not waiting up the road to carry on with the chase evil
Take care!

I totally agree with you. Was followed last night by some guy. Unbelieveable he followed for 10 miles, doing 80mph, and we aren't talking about on motorways here. Eventually pulled into a service station. I don't think he knew which way we had gone so we made sure that he wasn't still following us and went else where. Before coming home just to make sure.
Hello,
I did not mean the guy actually followed us to the door, but he followed us for at least 8-10 miles.
i think he gave up and went back to exeter.
From other comments are we to assume dogging is dead for cpls in devon.
Its not that we did not expect guys to come and chat, which we dont mind. Even if we had wanted to have some fun in the car, we dont mind maybe one person watching, but we know there would have been 20. They probably would text eachother.
We are sure there are some very nice guys that go up there and it is spoiled by the select few. We even drove off and found a secluded layby and with in minutes a car turned up and boxed our car into the corner, i had to get out and ask him to move.
I think most of these guys treat dogging as a sport and seem to be well organised in it.
It is a shame that these certain guys act in this way and we certainly would never go there at night again, so i think in the future this bunch of guys are going to have a very lonely time up there for the ones who think any couple will come within 10 miles of that place.
I would suggest they start up a chess club or something up there...lol
anyway, enough of my ranting, gonna get a picnic ready for us both and go look for somewhere decent we can have some fun.
take care
We always have a giggle on the occasions we have been followed home. For instance, roundabouts. At least a 8 on the giggle scale. Simply go around a roundabout a few times (mini roundabouts gain more points) If the car following doesn't realise that you are taking the mick, (most give up after 3 rounds on a roundabout) then simply pull into a police station. Sorted!
I think with this guy we would still be spinning around the roundabout, we could have put a 6 feet wide neon sign on top of the car with F**k OFF on it and he still would have followed us.
I suppose you are rite, we should see the funny side of things, but not at 2am

We are having a different kind of trouble :!:
We always drive well out of the area, many of the site's are well used, really well used near to us. We have found a sort of dogging heaven with quite car parks, a large number car parks all close to each other, that are not visable from the road, open all night, plenty of place's to venture outside, no idiots, etc etc the list go's on.
The trouble is we are having problems trying to get someone to watch ( DON'T BOTHER PM ing AS WE ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN AN OFF CHANCE SHOW AND DO NOT REQUIRE A MEET UNTIL WE GAIN IN CONFIDENCE).
We went this week and only one person turned up in a car and smoked a ciggie and then drove off, he did not even give us a second glance rolleyes still had a good time wink
The major problem is if you make this area known it will no doubt turn into every other place mentioned, we have seen a few other couples in the area not many.
TALK ABOUT A CATCH 22 SITUATION
anyone any ideas :ideas: confused:
we know how you feel, thats why we suggested a picnic so everyone can chat and do what they feel like doing without 27 guys stood in groups around their cars or sneaking through the bushes frightening the life out of couples.
take care
devondouble, we did warn you through pms about tthe downfall of exeter, out of interest the follower what car was he driving, we will no doubt know him, and can name and shame the idiot right now, Exeter is dead , and you have no chance of a guy watching when you have 20 oof them driving around like loons, christ piss the bed is 80 and he does it as wel, each to thier own hey anyway let us know, and we have already toyed with the idea of a private place arranged by text and so forth, regards
Please email me for some VERY secluded spots that are ideal with beautiful scenery inc costal views about 7-8 miles outside Exeter
love
Jay

PS I hate Exeter and wont go there unless absolutely necessary - I live in a more genteel part of the county, so lets keep it quiet huh (shhhssh - Im hunting wabbitts!)
Sorry to hear about your troubles last night Devondouble.
As usual it is the minority spoiling it all for the majority. I refer to the couples and the well mannered single guys that respect peoples wishes and move on when asked.
Why did the moron follow you. Did he think he was taking part in a fox hunt, where "the prey" eventually stops through exhaustion and gives him a show to get rid of him. If he did it just show what sort of cretinous imbeciles that Exeter attracts now. I have seen them follow a couple in a convoy like a herd of sheep, what do they think is going to got followed myself one night, eventually stopped to find out it was a transvestite who had followed me. I made sure he knew he was following the wrong car!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I know how it feels to be followed.
I have given up going there as it is just too much trouble and I personnally do not want to be tarred with the same brush.
I hope you do not give up on dogging & you find some nice spots in the area to which you can carry on your activities in peace and quiet.

I don't go near Exeter these days.
As a single male dogger the last thing i want is to be tarred with the same brush.
But in response to your comment i have highlighted, yes, it seems that in the exeter area the chance to feel safe whist being watched is limited.
Maybe it's time to try and establish a new meeting place that the muppets won't find for a while?

I wasn't saying that's what you should do, I'm saying that's what we have done in the past. Sorry about that. biggrin
Mind you at our age, we've dogged and are back in bed by 12am wink
fit an oil slick and ball bearing device ala james bond to your car
problem over
then hum theme tune to your self ,,whilst stroking white pussy
hi there
we went to haldon last night but didnt have any trouble with doggers just the police , we a few of us were chatting and i think may have had some fun too but the police turned up and were realy rude. they took our details and did checks and then went , while we were there a drunk driver turned up and he was stoned he had crashed his car , but as soon as the cops turned p he ran away, it does my head in to know there was a drunk driver there and they were bothering us ,
anyway i can honeslty say i have not had any other trouble up there apart from one fem who was going to beat me up if i went up there again ,(she dont go they much anymore)
sassy
Hi,
Well that certainly means we will never go there again. Like alot of things in life, the few ruining things for the many.
Anyone got suggestions for somewhere else?
regards
Well I suppose its better having the police turn up than a bunch of yobs vandalising cars while people are out enjoying themselves as I have been told has happened up there before now.
On the other hand typical of the police to take the easy option and pick on the innocent rather than sort the dangerous drunk who could cause death & destruction in his inebriated state.
The only time the police stop anyone is if they are in a car.
Shame they are not out walking through the town i live in and stopping the drunks.
I was one of the idiot fathers waiting at midnight with my daughter to buy the new Harry Potter book, loads of drunks walking by hurling abuse at eachother, i dont have to spelll out the language they were using.
Eventually the police came in a wagon, 4 coppers got out, stretched their legs and then drove off again, 2 secs later the yobs were back. Typical of this country now that they target adults just out trying to enjoy the summer. They should target the yobs...
ok... i am off my soapbox now!
it does seem to be getting to the point where the only way you can fun without the idiots is by prearranging meet with people, and most of the time that would be ok, but there are times when a spur of the moment thing is great.
Oh well just have to put up with the idiots i suppose
Not tried yet but it doesn't exactly inspire me to try it in they just can't let people have a little bit of fun.
ok dont wont to put my foot in it again ,so if i know of a really nice secluded spot that is not used by anyone and only want to let you guys know ,what do i do ?
and it really is secluded and would only accomadate about 3 cars
Were a cpl new to this so you can guess how we felt when we went to a known spot at 10 am, yes 10am and got intimidated and less frightening doing it at home with the light on and curtains open

Whilst I understand your dislike of this behaviour, and indeed I share it, what did you expect at midnight? any town at midnight is going to have drunken swearing idiots wandering around, it's just after chucking out time (and no doubt close to chucking up time too!)....personally, I think it's pretty poor that what is meant to be a kids book should go on sale at midnight anyway!
I've said before, the boy racers are a pain but we don't have any more rights to public car parks than they do. Saying that the few are spoiling our fun is understandable, but WE are their fun, so if you leave a place alone for a while and don't discuss it online, they'll stop coming to it. As far as the police go, how are they to know what you're there for if they don't question you........imagine how many drug dealers could get away with their trade if they weren't stopped on the basis of "they were minding their own business in a dark, quiet, remote place so we didn't think it necessary to find out what they were up to".
Some of them may be less polite than you'd like but it's still better than total apathy confused
Southwestcpl, if someone was initimidating and following you at 10am you should have reported them to the police .....you could easily have said you'd gone for a walk (assume this place is suitable for walkers?), a 10am stalker sounds like bad news
