Firstly don’t take this the wrong way, this is not directly aimed at you… it is a general answer to the question that you ask…. “Anyone know any good dogging sites in the NW”…. like so many others ask, again, and again, and again….
First I need to explain a little history….
I started dogging many many moons ago…. Most doggers from back then will tell you that they happened upon it by chance, perhaps stopping in a car park for a snog with the girlfriend… and became hooked… Not like today and every man and his dog knows about it, and I would suggest 95% from the internet!
In those days you almost undertook a dogging apprenticeship… you put in lots of hours, you gained lots of patience, you paid your respects to the older seasoned and more knowledgeable doggers, who if you were respectful to and showed them that you had obtained the patience required, would take you under there wing and start to teach / show you the ropes…
Theses ropes consisted of places, approaches, etiquette, signs, signals, tricks of the art, etc… and when you were trusted, they gave you introductions to couples, then by word of mouth and reputation you became accepted.
Other things back then were also different… there were not as many doggers, places or couples about, and participating / showing couples were interspaced with courting couples, this was where the true art and patience and perseverance was learnt along with practicing some tricks of the trade, like the “warm hand or liquid to clear a misted window trick” (guess where the warm liquid was obtained).
Over time the art was honed, and slowly couples grew, places blossomed, and all was well in the world, I can recall some evenings when couples well outnumbered doggers and us poor doggers had to double shift as to not disappoint the couples. (You see above that I call it an art, some refer to it as a sport … This I think is the defining point of the old school from the new, but I digress….)
Then came the Internet, Sunday papers exposing sites, etc… and even more doggers wanted to inflict themselves on ever decreasing couples, they did not want to have to take the time to learn, they came from a world of instant everything… food, credit, etc… The more competition, the more shortcuts were taken, out of the window went etiquette, patience, etc… Leading to Today, where it has sadly got to the stage of doggers pushing others out the way when a car approaches that just may have a couple in it… and knocking on the window expecting full on action before the engine has even been turned off! Of course the inevitable happens… and even more couples disappear!
Shame I hear you say…. Ahhhh, but all is not lost……. You see, the old school doggers never let all their secrets out. Yes there are still some “good places”, there are still some “good couples” there is still “fun to be had”…. but there wouldn’t be, if we passed it all on, so please understand when you don’t get the response you want to “Anyone know any good dogging sites in the NW”. Put in the time, good hunting….

I agree it was by chance that i met my first couple 3 years ago and have also met others along the way, patience is a virtue as are long hopeless days,i have also been invited and attended parties, but you must remeber if you say you are going go, and if you cannot make it let the people know as this is good manners and stands you in good stead for the future. remeber respect and patience x

how true as the male of this couple i was an avid voyeur dogger who used to go to all the sites in the greater manchester area and birmingham some 20years ago i started by accident.
now do not even go out anymore and have been inside the car with a female so have seen both sides .
so much so that my femake friend would not go dogging now after 2 bad experiences much to my disapointment but would never force her.

What a great post. I've been at this dogging lark alone and as a couple for a few years now and as others have said, quite by accident. There's been some really good nights with other genuine, honest people and some real hassle with rude and persistent people. Biggest problem lately seem to be the police. They've pulled us over on one occasion just for a bit of a "warning" and on the last occasion at the most frequented spot (north west) a huge riot van pulled onto the car park, took a picture of my car and drove off. Not been back since.
I too am an old school dogger and have to say was partly responsible for this internet revolution in dogging as I contributed to the original Doggers Guide poublished by Thrustmeister in the carsexanddogging group.
One site that I got listed in the guide in about 2002 has gone from quiet undiscovered country park, through dogging hotspot to full of police and boy racers. Interestingly after about a year of nothing much going on up there because of the police and boy racers, the police and the boy racers are now leaving it alone and it is returning to a popular dogging spot. I will never now reveal the details of the location but it is filling up with old school doggers. i even bumped into the second couple I ever saw up there last week one lunchtime.
I was up in Leeds earlier this week and the well known spots around there were horrifying, full of single guys, boy racers and a police video van.

It really annoys us too, we have had a few bad experiences now, and although we really like the dogging scene we just cannot find any more decent places. All the old places just seem to be frequently policed, or closed down, or full of pricks (no pun intended 
)
The only decent place that we have heard about in the clubs is just too far for us to travel.
We just hope that the hype will die down and let the serious doggers get back to having some fun (but are not holding our breaths)

Wjat a perfect description of the "before and after" of dogging. We are so dispondant at the moment that we are giving at a break. You have exactly described the sorry state of affairs that dogging is experincing at the moment.

The dogging evolution (if that is the right word) has, in my opinion, certainly not helped the dogging scene as it was and I cant help thinking that a lot of the people who do visit the car parks don't even know how dogging started or what it was originally all about.
Whatever happened to the genuine dogger who was more than happy to watch the proceedings and they didn't even consider taking a couple of packets of condoms with them (why would they need them, you cant catch anything from just watching).
The old fashioned dogging just doesn't seem to exist like it used to do, but the genuine exhibitionists and voyers are still around and have moved to the quieter, non-publicised locations, where they can get on with the good, old fashioned watching and being watched and at least there is still the odd one or two of the 'good guys' still around

Perhaps they did, and perhaps it was the papers who totally ruined it for the genuine ones who dont fancy shagging half the car park.
Who knows what ruined it, in fact, some will say it hasnt been ruined and being chased by a group of doggers, having people follow you home just because you didnt give them a shag, and having boy racers throwing stuff at cars is all part of the fun.
Personally, I much prefer less trouble and the old fashioned, polite dogger who knows how to behave.
