we were moved on from one of our spots by the suffolk police last saturday night!....we were the only people there!..... they looked round our car and then said we couldent be parked there!.....it was ony 930pm!...needless to say we went to save more agro....i could of understood if we were up to anything but we were just listening to the radio!
havent they got better things to do?
oh it was a public carpark!
mad :x :x :x
I don't think they have any powers to move you on as long as you not causing an obstruction or showing signs of anti social behavior. Next time it happens just politely ask on what Reasonable grounds they have for moving you on. As long as you are polite to them and don't swear there isn't a lot they can do.
weve had the same done 2 us on countless occations different area but similar circumstanes..we take it as the norm now nothin anyone can do about it other than just avoid them as much as possible, its harrasement as bad as it gets but they know they have us over a barrel because no ones gonna report it...
we just didnt want the agro......morally right or wrong.... somethings dont get shouted about.... just pisses us off!.....sorry for the bad lanuguge!
We had it happen to us last Friday. However we were in the middle of dogging at the time ................. our only luck was that the car park we were on belongs to the MOD and the Military Police turned up put on their light and that was our que to go.
I don't know the law on Military police and cavillians.
hi disscouple,i'm only leaping on your thread cause we are in your neck of the woods, and as a way of saying hello........we have had several encounters with the old bill too, but,i have to say, most of them have been we had two of them thumbing through our mucky photos, and seemed fascinated about the dogging scene, but like you say, there are always the power,(ah,that word again) junkies, you did the right thing, just move, they will win, they have to,its the prime face it,its easier to move you off a carpark than a load of irish travellers!!

If the old bill reasonably suspect/believe that you are about to commit an arrestable offence like "outraging public decency" even though action can not be taken until you are actually committing that offence ,under another section of the police and criminal evidence act they can arrest or move you on based on the fact that someone else may be harmed physicaly or mentaly by this.
The police have the power to move you on if they believe that you are obstructing the lawful passage of any other person in any public places or if you (either individually or as part of a group) are conducting yourself in a riotous or disorderly manner anywhere, to the alarm, annoyance or disturbance of the public.
If you have been asked to move on, you are entitled to ask for a reason and should expect to receive one but if you refuse to move you are likely to be charged with an offence.
If you get mouthy, you can also expect to be searched and you may even be arrested.

While i agree with the above i would say that being mouthy does not constitute to grounds for a search. Although I would be careful as i guess Grounds can always be found.
It seems the 'heat' is being applied in this area too (east sussex).......I was checked and spoken to 3 times in 90 minutes at a well known beauty spot late this evening, each time by a different car and officers. I hasten to add they were also very charming, but felt very harrassed after the 3rd time and i left.
I wasnt actually engaging in any 'sport' tonight, thank goodness, but car parks seem to be top of the list for patrols and harrassment. Real criminals must nowbe relieved to get more space to operate before the christmas rush !!! mad

Would that have to be the front passage or the back passage? wink

Not THE Stan Collymore?!?!? lol
Devil, if you don't know the story, I'll tell you next week. It's long and involved, but it will save dragging it up on here AGAIN!!! confused
Mal
cool
(It will make a change from discussing hair products again! wink )
Mal... darling... it was sarcasm... meaning you now don't have to tell me the story. You'll have to think of something else to talk about instead!!!
I'll have you know youngsheffcouple I am very particular about hairs in ears and with the help of mirrors they are smooooth..... lol maybe it was the trousers....
for the replys..etc.....
BUT....old poeple are getting mugged etc...and two adults listening to the radio in their car in a public place early in the evening.... get hassel.....they checked the tyres on the car for heavens sake!
Just a thought...if we were young boy racer types in the same place with loud music pumping away would they have acted the same way......
The more we think about it the more angry were getting!
if you were boy racer types having a rave, they wouln't have checked you,no,cause suffolk constabulary have a non interference policy regarding that, but a major disruption attitude toward soft targets.....when they entered our venue, one guy verbalised your thoughts, and suggested that a police presence maybe more appropiate in a nearby town, seeing as it was pub kicking out time, the official reply was "well,if it wasn't for you lot,we could deal with those issues sir",the implication being that harrassment of doggers was a higher priority than muggings,anti-social behaviour and theft......think about this,if you were a copper, what would you rather do,sit outside a kebab shop at midnight,or get an erection as a carpark empties faster than a doggers scrotum, just by your mere arrival...most doggers are married, they aint gonna give any greif, most pissed dickheads are.
We agree!...... but what can we do?....we pay their wages!.....we get mouthy..they arrest us..... half a dozen louts get mouthy and the police get in their cars and lock the doors!......so sad..........
there is nothing you can do,they will always get you on some technicality.i dont know what they would do if,for example, you said you both had been drinking,or was too tired to finish your journey without being a danger to yourselves and the public?.personally i wouldn't advise it though, its only a thought.....i must admitt, when i've been stopped,i've told them we were doggers, neverhad a problem,it seems to amuse them more than anything, but thats just the individuals weve dealt with, evidently yours are on a different mission!
i went out on my own last night to a popular dogging, crusing spot in bolton , the police came a long and cause i was wearing stockings suspenders they procceded to search me my car and humiliate me for nearly half an hour, they went through my whole life history just to try and do me for something.
after they had had there laugh and piss take they told me to go and never come back they were really nasty mad :x
I saw Blue's post about the police presence and that you'd been searched, I wondered if you were dressed in a way that would arouse their interest....so that answers my question.
I can't see how your choice of underwear gives the police the right to question or detain you, other than asking what you were doing in a certain location. If there were no grounds to arrest you then there are certainly no grounds for nastiness either sad
Hope you're ok Satin :therethere:
