Last time I posted on this topic, I was abused by PM. For those "honest" doggers out there, I still feel obliged to post a warning. The Police have been very active of late at the well known site high on the downs above Brighton. My partner and I have tried the site 7 times in three weeks, on 5 occasions out of the seven we have been "interrupted" by plod!
I have been breathalised, searched, questioned for 20 minutes (while nude) and blinded by spotlights and torches. On the last occassion, I was informed by one of these gentlemen that their guv'nor (obvious Jack Regan wannabe) has ordered them to clear the perverts and shirtlifters from the downs. They are looking to prosecute for any offence they can dredge up, so please be careful.
The site is now mostly deserted, but if someone who does not go regularly to that site was thinking of it, the best advice would be to stay away. :cry:

after several visits I will agree its very quiet, but not seen any plods for months....maybe all they want to do is catch those that deposit dead cars.

Ok......everyone is convinced that it's not true....fine by me. A check with local plod should reveal their strategy. As fo the guy who mentioned the webcams, they only exist at the very top car park and then only cover parts of the car park, right outside the pub which is lit up almost 24/7.......I don't know anyone who parks there, and the top car park gets used mostly by the "caravaneers" anyway....the Police can't disturb them without a valid excuse.
It seems frpom the tone, that I should apologise for giving a simple warning, but over the months I have made many friends from that site, as has my partner....all those we have spoken to have confirmed heavy police activity. Perhaps if some of the doubting Thomases get arrested some ideas will change. So I apologise for disturbing everyones perceptions, I was only trying to be helpful.
