right thing or stupid?

I was at a well known wooded area in Cannock during the day last week when I happened upon what seemed to be something about to happen - several cars with single guys either in or having got out of and standing around. Couple in their car (not wantting be more specific) im sat there thinking I make the number of single guys to at least 7 which must be too much for one couple.
So, I drove off and left them to it.............................question is, was that just plain stupid and I should have hung around waiting for something to develop or, was nothing ever going to happen with that men to couple ratio and I was beeter off looking for some other action (which I did not find)?
The thing is you will never know now, but if they were in there cars or standing by them there is no guarantee that anything was going to happen just because a couple were there in there car. It could have just been wishful thinking on there parts which seems to happen a lot these days or what seems to be happening a lot these days is over aggresive doggers putting pressure on couples. The one thing is for certain I would have hung around to see if the couple got out of the car or just to see what happened next thus avoiding the problem you have now of did something happen and did I miss out.
Well, you did the gentlemanly thing, but being a gentleman doesn't always get you anywhere. On the other hand, that is just what some couples appreciate, but in this case you will never know and that is half the fun of dogging.
staffs man..think you did very much right thing. The chase in the day is a place where people walk their dogs..ramblers walk....and innocent couples go in their cars for little privacy. I'ave seen it where a couple pull up....completly unaware what dogging even is..and suddendly 4 or 5 blokes get out theircars and start to walk around. Even if this couple were out for a meet.......7 or 8 guys around in a car park would of brought attention of others.....and before you know it the forest ranger turns up or even worse the police.
So once again staffs man in retrospect I think you did very much the right thing.
I think the main point is,you did what you thought was the right thing to do at the time, everybody in the above posts make valid points, you could have hung around and got lucky, you could have hung around and the couple drive off because of the number of single guys, you made a decision and stuck to it,there will be other times,no point even thinking about it ,it was right for you at the time and thats what x
I was going to ask a similar thing the other day!!
A couple started getting it on in their car and 3 of us went over to the car to see what was going on. All was fine for about 5 mins then, another 5 guys came along. Obviously too many for this particular couple as they drove off.
Quite !
I talked to the male half of that couple the day after they drove away....what put them off was the conversation/s being carried-on while she was blowing him....like:
"I left scratchwood just to watch a bum ?"
"turn over and show us your cunt"
"anyone got a fag"
"just a pair of prick teasers"
Fortunately, I was with them the night after....so no harm done...but as you pointed out (not quite) the layby is now full of insensitive cretins without a braincell between them....it's no wonder they had to drive 40+ miles to find someone who didn't know them already.....but you probably had fun a few days later with the cougar couple......but since they're a bareback job I don't bother...

Totally agree with you jts, some of the comments leave a lot to be desired. It was only a matter of time before they left!
I have attempted dogging a couple of times but have been put off by behaviour like this. My wife who is keen to be watched although I am not as confident as her. We dont want people joining in and we dont want to swap.
But the couple of times that we have ever attempted anything the locations always seem to be full of single blokes who either hassle to join in or get way too close! I dont want someones nose against the window of the car or even attempting to open the door! Dont these idiots realise that they aint gonna get anything but a kicking acting like that?
I have almost abandoned the idea of dogging altogether because of these pricks! mad
This is only a suggestion, but it works for me anyway.
If you drive in and park, there will always be one who wanders near first....open the window and let him know (or her, this is 2005 after all) the score....only (1, 2, 3) attendees present and no/some/all lewd comments....please don't forget that nobody needs a mensa IQ to be a dogger and most in the game now don't even know about mensa (or IQ)....so treat us like children (but no smacked botties please)(not me anyway...although I know a scotsman who does)
Anyway, I'm off to watch the magic roundabout (limewire)
Totally right thing (in our book), we've been put off too many times by men creeping around in the dark and approaching the car in numbers. We're totally with hooner, one or two watching (after being invited) is absolutely fine. Get your bits out, do what you want, just be polite and sensible and you'll get a show.
Thanks for the feedback and at least I can have some comfort that i did the right thing! Spending tomorrow day seeing if I can be first on the scene!
Up the chase staffsman you will be lucky you will get killed in the rush how things are at the moment.
Nah Alan, I am going on an expedition masy go up North Manc way see what happens up there.
